Last night, I played around with a new theme. My theme used to be this really simple white theme that looked too much like an adsense theme.
Last night, I decided to change it just for fun and I changed it to a free really nice looking theme that makes the web page look like a notebook.
Anyways, I woke up today and my site is on the first page of Google for my main keyword that I have been working on for a looong time. Moved up from spot 13 to 8.
Some things about my site:
-It is 1 year old
-It's an authority site that is naturally linked to by colleges and universities
-It was not affected by Penguin
-After Penguin, I stopped link building completely
Now, I checked the cached version on Google for a bunch of searches, and it says that the last time it was crawled is May 11. It is still showing the old theme.
Should I change the theme back? Most of the html and css are same with the new theme and the old theme...like the h1,h2 tags, etc..
The only big difference should be load speed..slightly. Since the new theme is more visually appealing, it has like a notebook as its background.
EDIT: IT'S NOT PERSONALIZED RESULTS
