Decent Strategy for Blog Post?

Let's say you have a blog that had a few pages crushed by penguin. Could you simply create a new post with a slightly different url structure and then try to rank that page the way google would want you to?

For example, if you had a page with a url "dfdfdfdfdf.com/how-to-study" could you make a new page with the same content and a new url of "dfdfdfdfdfdf.com/learn-how-to-study," delete the old page, and then try to white-hat rank that page? Sound like a reasonable strategy?

    If a "few" pages were hit, you most likely weren't affected by Penguin. Penguin is site-wide as confirmed by Google. It could be as simple a few links to your site loosing value. In which case, you need get more quality links.

    To answer your question, no. Just changing the internal URL will not work with penguin.

      Where did you get your information from? I don't think this is true..

      Here's what Danny Sullivan had to say;

      Is Penguin a site-wide penalty like Panda or page-specific? Cutts wouldn’t say. But given that Panda has site-wide impacts, I think it’s a fair assumption that Penguin works the same.
      Google has neither confirmed or denied it's a sitewide penalty, Sullivan has just assumed it's sitewide, but I think he's opened his mouth too soon and got it wrong!

      Here's what Brian Ussery had to say about it;

      Penguin is an algorithmic webspam update and not a holistic site wide quality update like Panda
      I think he is more on the ball here. Just look at the sites affected. The sites with over-optimized index pages have dropped and their internal pages are still ranking where they were with some one the first page where the index page ranked.

      Both Penguin and Panda are both filters but they are targeting completely different things. Panda is completely on page and applies a sitewide penalty for duplicate content while Penguin is off page and on page and the penalties are more page specific.

      I am also agree that just changing the url will not work against the penguin. If you have a blog which is attacked by penguin then in this case you will have to see first how badly you have hit by the penguin. Then check your mistakes and errors in your blog. Try to make the blog useful for the user and google friendly post the fresh and unique content do not post any kind of spam and duplicacy in your blog change ur urls create some good high quality ranking for your blog. It will help you instead of the just changing urls.

    It's important to know the problem. I also think this not an attack of Penguin. Try to make your site an useful one and google search friendly. Agree with seomanchun, keyword stuffing may be even harmful for your site.

    I didn't exactly know what penguin think, but my thought is it will just remove spammy pages, not the entire website..
