I need pro advice about link juice

A few questions.
1 does the link have to be indexed to get link juice or a boost in rankings
2 so far I'm doing blog commenting on pr pages, forum posts, article marketing, updating my website blog weekly. What else can I be doing for my local carpet cleaning site?

    So far I know that link juice flows from high PR site to sites of lower PR. And we all know that high PR site has a lot of index.

    You have done article marketing, right? Good !
    I guess you haven't try guest blogging. If no then you can do some guest blogging.

    Yes, a link has to be indexed for it to count. But indexed doesn't mean you will be able to find it in the search results. I wouldn't worry too much about if a link is index other than if it requires a login or is hidden is some kind of way.

    As far as the rest of it goes, look for the places your target audience hangs out at and build relationships there. Oppurtunities will open up as you build those connections. Also, continue to build good content. All of the techniques you are using already, article marketing, commenting, and forums, are effective and will payoff in the long run.

    Yeah, it should be indexed. By the way, you should think more about the fact that the page where you got a backlink from, could be de-indexed by google

    Just continue following your SEO strategy. It is great, if you don't see any success, just try to increase the number of backlinks you get

    To get link juice you have to build high PR dofollow link.But it'll not look as natural to google.So you have to make a mixer of dofollow and nofollow link.
