what is Skylancer?

Last few days I see my website is getting HUGE amount of traffic from Skylancer.net! Unfortunately no real conversion from these traffic at all! So my question is what is Skylancer and why these I see lots of traffic from this site?

    It seems to be an outsourcing site like many others out there.

    The site is without content and it looks to me like domain with ad codes only.

    it has just a login page. Not only me but also one of my friends is getting almost thousand hits per day from this site! No real conversion! Just increasing bounce rate.

      They could be referal spamming, you never heard of this? they just sends tons of invisible traffic to huge amounts of sites and then people like you come here and post threads like this and build back links for them or they go to the site, fill out that dodgy looking mlm cpa form and improve their alexa rank.

      They're probably just trying to improve their Alexa. When you get as high as that you start to make top 20000 lists etc and get some decent backlinks, plus people like you go posting their url all across the internet. It looks like a pretty crap site to me with no decent fan base = referal spam.

      Go and check your server logs, if it's all the same IP address' just ban them using the tools in cpanel.

        They look like the same people from the .com domain, perhaps you've got loads of VA's copying your website

        Hmmmmm.... You mean they are doing it to get..

        1. some free backlinks
        2. for improving Alexa rank

        But I searched in deep in google and discussed with some friends after posting the thread. They are even providing good amount of money to VAs to visit our websites! So they are not doing it to get cheap backlinks only. There surely some more benefits associated.... :rolleyes:
