Hi Everyone!

I have a question link building, i have over 100 links built in the last two weeks to my website- www . prosmiles . co . uk

If i use any backlink checking tool then it shows that i still have no backlinks. I think this is because they have not been indexed by google?

It has had no effect on my search position on google which considering i had zero before i was hoping for a shift up, any ideas anyone or is it a waiting game?

Many thanks in advance

Depends what type of links they are, better links Google will crawl and pick up faster, usually within 14 days they will start registering while crappy links may take up to 60 days..

You could ping your backlinks to get Google to index them faster. I use Ping O Matic and that seems to work well for me.

      Ummm pinging won't help.

Don't worry about your links showing up. We rank sites all the time without anything showing up in our tools. What you need to be focusing on is building more quality links and using an indexing service like backlinks indexer to get your links indexed. Keep in mind, if you are building low quality links (forum profiles, automatic blog comments, auto spun articles) your indexation rate will be quite low no matter what you use to index them.

The more reputable the website is and the more traffic it gets, the faster your backlinks will get indexed. Don't worry about that stuff though. Post your backlinks wherever you can get them. The idea should be simple, let's not make it complicated. Nofollow/dofollow, it doesn't matter, take your link and put it where people will see it and include anchor text if possible.

This is more like a wait and watch game and also heavily depends upon the popularity factors (their crawl frequency etc.) of the sites you get links from. To fasten up the process just ping the urls or the pages containing your backlinks.

You're backlinks will also depend on the keywords that you're targeting. If you're going for keywords that are very competitive the 200 backlinks you've created will do very little to your ranking especially if your website is brand new. Choose your keywords wisely and keep building new links and add fresh contents on your website regularly and you will do fine.

      Hi everyone,

Thanks for your responses, i have heard of pinging. I think that doesn't actually get things indexed though? Just seen by the search engines?

In regard to what 'pyramid linkers' was talking about, is this legit? The backlink indexer site?

The website is about 7 months old now roughly. Could really do with being higher up the rankings as currently the site doesn't bring in very much business but really feel it could if it was up there on page 1.

Thanks again everyone for taking the time to offer me advice

Some form of link pyramid can still be effective its just a matter how you build it and use it on your website.

You say you built 100 links, but what type of links are these? Depending on what kind of links these are, 100 might not do very much.

Only Google knows how many and what quality links are needed to get decent page ranking. Keep building good quality links and ranking will increase.

Quality of backlinks, anchor texts use to build links, where those links come from, etc. these are some of the major factors that you need to consider when building backlinks.

Ranking your site in Google is definitely a waiting game. If you build links to your site, Google will surely picked those links and index them.

You should make backlinks from websites that are indexing fast by Google. Then after you find your backlinks on other external sites indexed, you can see them on your Google webmaster tools too after one-two weeks. If you make backlinks from pages that are never indexing, its totally useless. When your backlinks index, you can call them backlinks.

If you have the access of Google Webmaster Tools for your website, please check all its backlinks here. Don't rely upon any backlink checker tool as they always show a fewer links than actual. The real no. of back links can only be got from Webmaster tools.

Hey.. i agree with tiplonski. Ping your approve url in ping o matic site or other sites like that. Some sites approve your submission and shown result but Google not crawl that page. So ping that URL and check. Also check robots.txt file of that particular link building site. Where google bot is follow or no follow.

May be the quality of the links you built for your website is not too good. Because of this Google didn't count those links. Make sure that the links you build for your website are of high quality and try to build links from similar theme PR sites, this would be more helpful in fast SERP.

This happens only when Google have not indexed those pages where you have submitted your website. What kind of backlinks did you built anyway? Spun articles and forum profiles would have a lower indexing rate compared to other techniques.

One thing to find out if your link pyramid can still help rank your website is to do a split test. Just go do it and find out.

Yes the obvious reason is that your links haven't been indexed by the search engine. You should get links from a blog/website which gets indexed soon enough. I guess the blogs or websites where you got links from aren't quality ones and do not get indexed so frequently.

Do you know if these links are DoFollow or NoFollow? I don't think NoFollow websites share their link juice to receiving websites but they will help the ranking of your website especially if they belong to the same niche. BTW, do you know if the page rank is on the home page or on the actual page where your anchor text is located? There is a big difference where the page rank is located.

Minisite - They are do-follow. It's the page rank of where my link appears. They are all on beauty/health related sites, still no improvement in search rankings, that link indexer thing doesn't seem to have helped yet either
