Google Adsense Site .... No Pagerank Yet?

Hey Guys,

So I have an Google Adsense site that I put together and have been working on for the past few weeks. I have established backlinks to sites that are PR4 to PR8, social bookmarking sites, and blogs. My content is anchored to other articles in my site. I have content on my site with about 5 articles that are 600 words plus, but yet Google has yet to give me a pagerank. Is there something that I am missing, or am I just being impatient with Google?

Please let me know what your thoughts are.

    Pagerank doesn't update automatically.

    I wouldn't worry too much about pagerank. Focus on quality content and value to your visitors.

    Once you start getting traffic you can test and optimize for CTR.

      Isn't pagerank important for your keywords in order to get to the top of the page of a Google search?

        Page Rank was, at one point, Google's way of identifying the authority of a site. Because of their many algorithm updates over the past years, the value of Page Rank has diminished from what is was.

        Page Rank still does provide some ranking power, but it should be viewed as only one part of the website ranking equation.

    Google PR updates are not very consistent. I don't look to closely at it but I do recognize it when a new site gets its first PR update. I wouldn't even worry about it unless It had not gotten 'green' in 6 months or so.

    Phil's got it right.

    Page Rank only updates a few times per year. You might see a little boost if your PR goes up, but nothing like it once was.

    Continue to focus on content and relevant links, as these are the main ways to rank your site.

    the next PageRank update will come in the start or in the end of August
    before August Google will not update page rank of any website on the web
