  • The Google update. I believe you're referring doesnot really relate to the URL

    It would be my recommendation to go with .net over a URL with any sort of - in it if you ever look to resell it in the future.

  • I think they are still relatively the same. I still prefer the name keyword.net, as it looks less spammy to me and I dislike hyphens in domain names personally.

    I am assuming you are actually meaning KeywordKeword.net vs Keyword-Keyword.com

  • I think using dashes in domain names had always been bad idea. especially after penguin where Google considers going after exact domain - a spam

      I doubt it.

      Millions of exact match domains are still ranking.

      What is less likely to rank is..

      A website using an exact match domain, in conjunction with pages, titles, headers, images, meta tags and backlinks - ALL USING THE SAME KEYWORD.
