Just wanted to alert everyone, as you may notice some sudden changes in SERP.

Has anyone been affected by this yet?

None of my sites seem to be affected either way. They are still ranking well.

Ooh, yes, I have had a uk site slip to page two, it's been a very stable no. 1 through all the updates, but I have been waiting for the hammer to fall as it was propped up with AMR backlinks, heavy anchor text, EMD, etc. be a shame to lose that, that was my first no. 1 ranking success, old-school newbie SEO though...

Who says you can't earn money as an eBay affiliate any more? My stats say otherwise

All of this makes me wonder whether PR will eventually be the new SEO. Google seems quite determined to eradicate it (SEO). I don't mean that is a "Chicken Little" kind of whoa is me way....I mean that matter of fact-ly, as the landscape for all of these things change daily.

That attitude is fine as long as what Matt Cutts says has no bearing on your bank balance.

Alexa, and many others here quite often say.."relying on Google for your income is extremely dangerous as you're one algorithmic change away from potentially disaster"

        This is 100% true.

I do have alternate traffic/income streams, but I still don't like losing money when one of them takes a hit. I roll with the punches, that's why I have multiple basket for my eggs, but that doesn't mean I don't sit up and take notice when one of them is under threat.

P.S. Less than 0.1% of results affected! Nah, I can't be THAT unlucky! I just realised my drop appears to be due to one of Google's regular tests of synonyms on the front page. They rotate in some sites with a different keyword that a lot of people confuse with what my site has, evidently to test those synonyms in some way (bounce rate?). Then after a day or so they rotate things back. So not convinced still...

Two sites came back to page one, four to go.

Could be anything though - penalties expiring, Penguin, backlinks dropping off... Haven't built any new backlinks to those sites.

By searching "SEO Service Provider" in google I saw my site was ranked in 18th page, It was like a bright shine for me as I have been doing SEO for this keyword for last several days. But after penguin 1.1 its gone. I don't know where but it's gone from 18 page. I am waiting and searching the right strategy.
