I just wonder if some of the internet marketers have tried this simple technique using google plus.

If so, is this guaranteed also for your website ranking?

Thanks!

Social proof? Highly recommend it. I'm starting to get my feet very wet with Google + now....can't wait to add it to my arsenal and varied links even more.

The more social proof the better mate

I would like to think G+ is standard for any marketer now, however I haven't had the time to finish setting it up for my own blog yet.

Using Google+ is a really smart and simple way to improve your website's SEO. Search is becoming more and more social, so Google looks at a busy G+ page as an indication that a brand is important. It probably sounds more complicated than it is, haha. I recommend watching this short video for an easy-to-understand look at why G+ is important for companies:

Agreed to you. Google+ must be considered as essential for SEO. Also grow your circles with the peoples from the relevant field of business, this will increase traffic for your website.

I dunno, I thought I saw an initial little boost when I created a G+ page for my "real" offline business (you have to link it too, by adding a G+ button on your site, and a link on your G+ profile), but now I am not so sure it has made any difference (not that I was all that hopeful).

Also, if I Google for my main industry keywords, my site is around no. 7, my LinkedIn profile is just below it, my Twitter profile is at the top of page 2, but of my G+ profile there is NO sign.

Probably one reason is that I don't often post anything to that profile, it's not really active. But then I don't post to LinkedIn that much either, or even Twitter really... So make of that what you will.

Mr. Cutts also claims that G+ is not currently being used for ranking signals, but then we can't really take his statements quite at face value.

facebook, twitter, amazon, wiki etc have always been good for ranking so why not a google+ page,
also - a huge amount of links isnt going to effect the root domain so you can be a bit more aggresive with it

    - i understood you want to rank a page rather than using it for ranking other yes??

It Helps. Just found a bump from page 2 to 1 after some google +'s (at least it worked for a spanish domain that i've been watching).

Google + is like a social networking site where you connect with other people such as on facebook, twitter etc. As you are putting your updates on face book and try for like or share, comment from your friends same in google+. There is also +1 button such as like or share button on facebook.

If you do local SEO, I think they're indexing G+ Local pages now too! So it is a must if you do local stuff; but a normal G+ page like many have said already is very important (there's an article on Bing that they do use social media as a factor in ranking, so G+ could play a part in that for SEO on Bing)
