Hey guys

I was just on a different forum and I stumbled across this link:

What do you guys think of this?

I woulden't hang off of every word google puts out there. I get the distinct impression that when it comes to these updates they say one thing, yet do another.

I dont think so. It was originally called the Overoptimization Penalty, however.

The overoptimization penalty was part of penguin.
Penguin wasn't called the penguin penalty.
It was called the penguin update and the overoptimization penalty was one of the many penalties applied to the update.

I watched that video too! It was sent to their mailing list.

However I really do think It has to do with anchor text aswel as your overall backlink profile.

Makes lots of sense. I work with proof as it should be and I like to see data, but based on what I can see, it surely is right on target. Penguin in my experience/opinion is over-optimization. Panda links issues. Great video.

I will watch it when I get to my other computer later.

If what the op says is true, it's funny how an Senuke guy would draw the conclusion that is is nothing to do with their software (off site links etc).

      I'll check it out.

I watched the vid and it's mainly about having more keyword variations rather than using your main keywords over and over again.

If Penguin is purely on-site then why did Microsite Masters case study show that over use of a money keyword in the anchor text penalizes sites? These weren't just a few examples either, they found that every site they tested which used at least 60% anchor as a "money keyword" got negatively affected.

Penguin is purely off-site (most likely) and Panda is purely on-site. Make sense.

edit: this has to be the worst SEO related analysis/video/guide I've ever seen. I really hope he's just trolling.

LOL, they have more copies of SENuke to sell. Of course, they'll conclude it has nothing to do with low-quality manipulative backlinks.

I thought he seemed quite smart and sharp.. I just think that saying its not off-site is quite bizarre...

But I do not know if hes really working FOR senuke to help them sell product.. hmm
