What was your ah ha moment when you finially saw >2-3% CTR on PPC ads?

I have been dabbling around with PPC for about a year, not going hardcore or anything, but learning quite a bit along the way.

I know that many of yall have EXTREMELY high CTRs in the 20-30% range. To me it seems totally dependent on brand recognition or industry competitiveness.

The ROI in my line of business is not predictable as the customers are not worth the same as everyone else. As you can imagine it is hard to calculate my ROI.

I am spending about 1.20 per click on adwords and it estimates that I should be seeing 70-80 clicks per day and on most days I see around 18-22. I do have extremely high conversion rates but extremely low click through. Looking at less than 1%.

Any advice?

Not enough information. What's your position? Are you doing search only, display only or both? What's your QS?

Don't bother with the traffic estimate. It's just that, an estimate. Focus on improving your campaign and getting more quality traffic this week than you were last week.
