Hi all, i wanted to know the latest news on onpage optimisation, do we still need to do H1 H2 H3 etc, keyword density, internal linking,

Will to much onpage optimisation be a penalty?

    Yes you can still use these tags, there has been no evidence to suggest otherwise. Too much is probably using plugins like seo search tags, stuffing keywords/links in the footer, spammy page titles and descriptions, thin content and poorly written content.

    Keyword density seems not very useful these days. I have found many top ten pages which has 7-10% density for targeted keyword, Bold, H1-H6 counts? yap but there are new issues which you should concentrate more.
