If I build an adsense site with my pub id, and I sell it on Flippa, does the buyer get the site with my code and he changes it himself, or do I turn it over to him with blank spots where the adsense ads go? Thanks.

I just switch out the Adsense codes for them. Takes no more than a minute or two to do. Let them know what size ad blocks are going to be needed and then paste them where they need to go. Of course you could just leave it blank with a placeholder, but I like to make sure the customer is all set before the final send off.

If I do it for them, wouldn't I have to have access to their adsense account? Then I would have their passwords, and I don't know that I would give someone my adsense passwords since I have other adsense sites running on that account. That is why I was asking how this works. Let's say, what if they didn't have an adsense account, they would have to apply for one and that could take a while. Also, could I build adsense sites for others without having an adsense account myself. Thanks a ton.

Just do it for them and avoid the headache of having to teach them how

    Hello Marty,

    1) You don't need to access their adsense account. You simply need them to send you the relevante code bits.

    2) People who don't have an adsese account usually don't bid on adsense websites. If they did and ended up with one, they'd have to wait before they were approved in the programme to start earning.

    3) It's possible to build sites without an account for sure, but you definitely need the account in order to prove earnings. A niche site isn't worth much more than $50-$75 but if you can get it earning a steady income, you will get a much larger return.

Hope that answered most of it, if not, just ask :-)

Thank you, that does help. So I guess they would send their code bits and I would go into my code and paste it throughout. I thought I had to do the code changing from my adsense "create an ad page." Also, I will check out your website, it sounds interesting. Thanks again.

What happens when you sell a adsense sight with the CTR theme and the email and activation code shows...can they keep using my account?

You, or they, should do more than replace the ID #. All ad units should be removed. The reason being is that they'll want to create their own ad units so they can accurately track their stats.
