I have problem with my keywor type, its no problem in 2008, but have problem in feb 2009.
My campaign run from nov 2008

Sample Case Study :

AdGroup Dog training 01
Keyword Bidded :
dog training

This ads shown when people use keyword = dog training guide


I add phrase keyword in my adgroup
AdGroup Dog training 02
Keyword Bidded :
"dog training"
dog training


This ads Not shown when people use keyword = dog training guide

I think Only the master can reply this showcase.. google change phrase log ?

    right, your first one is a "broad" match, which will come up if they enter

    training guide
    or
    dog guide

    etc, etc

    the 2nd campaign you entered, is "phrase" match. accompanied by a broad match phrase.

    This effectively is canceling out "dog training guide" cos "phrase" match is in your group...

    Why is this good?

    cos the prices will be cheaper when clicked on. If you used "exact" match.
    ie.
    [dog training]

    it'll cost more, since it's more targeted.

    so effectively you've filtered it out without the use of "exact" match.

    This is what I believe is referred to as "Embedded matches", someone might have a different term to it though.
