De-Indexed Sites

I tried searching through the WF for this, but I didn't have any luck, and I also haven't come across anyone with this idea, so I'm just gonna throw it out there and see what happens.

If I wanted to buy a few sites that are family-friendly, but have been de-indexed for one reason or another, how would I do that?

I want sites that are banned from Google and you really have no use for at all, but I don't even know where to start looking for this.

Anyone have any ideas?

  • Try searching for questions like 'my site was banned', 'why was my site banned', 'google banned my site' etc. and then you will find posts and I bet some of those have links to the site.

    The SEO subforum?

No, seriously. Find the threads where people are whining about their sites being deindexed and how they are ready to give up. Negotiate a fair price and buy for them. I have no idea if it would work; but that's where I would start.

  • What will you do with the banned websites ?

That's simple. have a "done for you" website that can be a potential goldmine with a little fine tuning. The fact that it is being disregarded and devalued because of one search engine (of all the people to listen to, including your market :rolleyes means that you can get said site for a steal.

It's a masterstroke if you know what you are doing.

    • Joe gave one answer, but I'll give a second: I'm about to add a new service to one of my companies (building niche websites), and I'd like to get a few de-indexed sites because they're seen as low value and I don't have to worry about accidentally-ranking or competing or anything else.

I accidentally bought from a couple of months ago and didn't realize it for a month. It'll be a demo site later today. I want to get 4 more in different niches so I can show off different ideas.

  • And to the mod who moved this without reading it: This discussion has NOTHING to do with SEO or PPC or AdSense. If it did, I would've posted it here instead of the main forum.

  • how much are you paying for these deindexed sites?
  • I would probably use Scrapebox. There is an add-on that pulls the domains in the TDNAM auction off of GoDaddy. Then just run them through the index checker on Scrapebox. Buy the ones that aren't indexed. Pretty simple.
  • If you need a few of these, let me know
