Mike, i actually love the fact that they have a low ctr.....
its not tht good for CPA advertising.. but if you are promoting your local business... all you gotta do is add your address and tel number in the ad... and put a high PPC.. your ad will stay on top and people hardly click

I get way more phone calls than the clicks on fb ads....

People go on there to chat and catch up, I don't think they pay too much attention to the ads. Targeting specific user groups on there would be the ideal solution, but even that's no easy task.

        Hi hernan10,

I've not used Facebook advertising but if you managed to get several hundred clicks then maybe you could get a better return if you rotate some of your Copeac CPA offers.

If it lets you track where exactly most of your visitors come from or gives you demographics then maybe that could help you choose a different producat/cpa offer to promote.

If it lets you see what groups/areas your traffic is coming from then have a look at what other advertisers are offering. If you see the same offer appearing for a couple of weeks then they're probably making money. Then just offer something similar.

There are tools monitor ppc ads on google but I've not heard of one for Facebook so you'll have to monitor them manually.

If you're getting traffic you just have to find the right offer for them.

folks on facebook aren't searching to buy something.

free education/social/dating offers can be used on facebook.

another way is to offer something of value upfront 1st
to get an opt in, then follow up with a service later on.

I had a great ad on there and got a sale from it. I spent $20 and made $120. That was great, I was happy, then they deleted my ad. They are super finicky and it is a real pain in the a$$ to try and get your ad just right. I gave up after 10 more attempts.

You might get a low CTR but simply find the right offers to promote on their system and you'll make bank. Hint : Free Trial

I have mixed feelings regarding FB ads.

On one campaign I had great results in a local market (Italy). Lower cost per lead than Adwords and similar conversions.

A few days ago, I tried to use it to promote an affiliate product on two bigger markets (US and UK). Results so fare are abysmal.

I have been able to have just one ad (out of 6 versions) that I tried. They disapproved absolutely correct ads and it's very hard to understand the criteria (as usual, FB help is unhelpful).

So far only the UK campaign has some clicks but I cannot say how profitable it will be. I am using coupons so no big deal.

Frankly I find the keyword targeting totally useless. Compared to Adwords targeting is like comparing a sling to a F-22 Raptor.

I am testing FB because it seems a cheap alternative to other PPC network (Google in primis). However, I doubt how effective most ads can be on FB. It can work for "lifestyle" products, but not for "make money" products, I feel (this affiliate experiment I am doing is with a "internet marketing" infoproduct and I already expected bad results, but wanted to try).

So, mixed feelings about FB. I don't like it, but it's a weapon in the arsenal worth at least looking at.

Even tough it has a million of member, It doesn't mean it can be effective, as of now this is impossible but it has a potential considering the million of members
