Google Dance or?

Hi guys, Need some help regarding some websites that i have been building. They are micro niche blogs and they have been up for about 2 weeks or so. After some back linking using Unique article Wizard, article directory submission to various directories and lastly dripable links towards the articles, i managed to get a position on the second or third page.

However, just yesterday, my rank suddenly completely disappeared from the SERPs. I had previous experience with google dance happening on the first week but not that late on the end of the second week.

  • Automation tools like these aren't your friends. Some of us need to learn the hard way at some stage.

Of course, it COULD be a dance, but it could also be the dreaded sandbox.
  • I wouldn't be surprised if your rankings just dropped off. You basically just get 90% of your links from article directories which isn't the best seo plan after penguin.
  • It's hard to say exactly what's going on with your site. It could be some kind of penalty for something. Google is handing out a lot of those recently.

One thing that comes to my mind is that you need to diversify your backlinks more. As was stated above, you have mostly article backlinks. Post penguin that won't really work so well. You need to get a lot more variety in your backlinks and make sure you are varying your anchor text a lot.

  • It's the dance. Mine do it too when they're new.
  • Google dance. Its happening to many sites. I have my own experience of this dance. I was tensed then but now it does not a problem for me.
  • thanks guys for the reply . really helped me calm my nerves I also do other back linking such as social book marking as well. any tips on other types of backlinking you guys can recommend ?

  • Article Directories are being penalized and even banned by Google. Stick to HIGH QUALITY directories and you'll be fine.
  • when you mean high quality directories do you mean websites like squidoo WordPress, digg and websites like ezinearticle. sorry not sure what's the difference between the two

    • Those aren't directories. I'm referring to sites like BestOfTheWeb, Yahoo Directory, JoeAnt, etc.
  • Well I think your site is sandboxed.I cant say with guarantee but once I also face something like this although the site was pretty old and when I just started to build backlinks to it,it was in 6th position and immediately after 3 days I did not get my site anywhere in the web and I stopped building links. After 2 month its back to first page and I again started to build backlinks and Its disappeared again forever.

    • i think so too, but i have not even done any black hat techniques, basically all i did was article marketing with UAW as well as using dripable on the article links. wonder why they did so
  • Did you spread submissions with UAW? Or you blasted in a few days?
    • [1] reply
    • i spread about 5 articles per day. in your opinion what is the recommended amount

  • I think your site is in the Google sandbox and there is something inherently wrong with the way you setup your site.

From my experience, thin affiliate sites are dead. And so building backlink to them will be worthless.
