Would you optimize these keywords?

Okay so i was just doin some random research on google keyword tool where i saw these big keywords. almost all these keywords have over 10000 local search/month and cpc of over $60 and obviously very high competition. i was like okay i should not even dream about it. but just wanted to know, would you optimize for these keywords? i mean are you just into picking up sites with low competition and rank them on the top or would you possibly give these high paying keywords a try? do we even have a shot at getting them on the top of search engines?

    I better to choose low competition keywords to make fast money.. But if I would to put myself in competitions with giant sites and waiting for a couple of suffering months or may be even years to see the results, then high competition keywords is the best choice. Each keywords competition level has its own benefit..
