Question about url, keyword selection, SEO

Hello everyone I have a quick keyword selection question in relation to the url in terms of SEO optimization.

My question is if I'm targeting the keyword blue umbrellas, and I attempt to make the url blue umbrellas . com but it's taken, and register instead blue umbrellas info .com instead. How much would this effect the SEO outlook of my site since my keyword is blue umbrellas.

    There is no doubt that if everything else being equal the exact match does perform slightly better. Notice that I said slightly. Your domain could rank #1 for sure, you don't get penalized for not having an exact match.

    It's just that exact matches do get a slight bit of help from Google for sure. So just go ahead with your suffix :-)

    You are ok. The domain name is very good. Anyway if you have the kw in the domain name this doesn't mean you will automatically hit #1.

    It doesn't matter if your URL is kkkk dot com and your chosen keyword is Blue Umbrellas, you will still rank high with the necessary SEO. It's all about optimizing your page for your keyword, the search engine is not that dumb.

    People who promote amazon product do not use the product name as url due to trademark issues yet they are able to rank well using name not related to their keywords.

    Don't worry, it won't affect your ranking much... and like JohnBen said, with the right seo optimization you can rank for almost anything.
