Hey guys,

Here's the link building strategy I've been using post-penguin. I've tested this on 20 brand new niche sites since the algorithm updates. Out of the 20 sites, 18 of them are on the first page. Hopefully, this strategy can help you guys out too. Keep in mind, a lot of what I do is hands-on, so it may not be the best for guys that like to "set it and forget it."

The RFP Link Building Strategy

  1. Proper Keyword Research
  2. Indexing with PingFarm & Social Bookmarking
  3. Article Marketing with Submit Your Article
  4. Buffer Sites with Knowem.com
  5. Tier 2 sites with DripFeedBlasts
  6. Link Variety from .Edu/.Gov, WikiLinks, Social Media, and High PR Contextual Homepage Posts.
I've gone into detail and outlined each step of method on my blog, which you can find right here:

I'd like to know what you think! Like I said, this has been working wonders for me. If you can help me fine tune it or add some insight, I would welcome the knowledge with open arms!

Are you just ranking all your 2.0s for one keyword? Creating 20 different profiles called "buydogcollar".

A pretty nice strategy, similar to what a lot of other people have been having success with.

I use knowem.com but only for building brands.

It never occurred to be to build social profiles using specific keywords as the name. Makes since I suppose, just never been so obvious about targeting keywords. Usually try to make real sounding profiles.

      Hey Tyler,

Yeah...I usually only need to build about 10 separate properties and use the Submit Your Article service to get the site ranking in the top 5 and profiting pretty well. I will build each web 2.0 property using my main keyword at first.

If the site ends up being consistently profitable, I will usually expand it to a more authoritative type of site with 50-100+ pages of content. At this point, I'll start building web 2.0 properties for secondary keywords. I'm basically repeating the process for each keyword I want to rank. I'll also start to build out social media profiles on facebook/twitter at this point as well.

        I'm considering trying this.

        So cost wise...

5 $5 dollar articles per 2.0 (probably more for quality) say $40

maybe one other article to submit for article marketing $10

        maybe some Fivrr gigs $5-15

        $99 for dripfeedblast
        $67 for submityourarticle
        $67 for UAW
        $97 scrapebox (onetime)

So each 2.0 costs around $25-50.

So your in around $250-$350 per site + the subscriptions or my number off?

You could do this a lot cheaper. Original articles on the web 2.0's are nice, but not really necessary for sites with the low competition that I'm targeting. You may want to stick with original stuff for more competitive niches however. Here's how I would break it down.

          (1) Original 1000 word article to be spun for web 2.0 and Submit Your Article: $10
(10 - 20) Web 2.0 Properties created by hand with spun articles: Free + Time Investment
          (1) Submission to Submit Your Article: $67 monthly fee

At this point, I usually have enough quality links to rank in the top 5 on Google. This is largely thanks to the amount of detailed keyword research I do prior to starting a project.

Keep in mind that the Submit Your Article subscription allows for unlimited article submissions. This means that your price per site becomes significantly less for each additional site you make. For example, SYA costs $67 for 1 site, but only $13.50 for 5 sites. Ya get me?

I normally only use the Tier 2 sites when I'm having trouble getting into the top 5 spots with SYA and Web 2.0's. It's at this point that I might spend an additional $30 on Fiverr for Scrapebox and UAW services. I have a Drip Feed Blasts subscription, but only because I use it a lot. I wouldn't suggest buying any of the Tier 2 programs/subscriptions unless you were making multiple sites and taking full advantage of their features.

So, my calculations come to $77 for one site ($10 article + $67 SYA Subscription). I actually have my per site cost below $50 due to the amount of sites that I make a month.

Hope this sheds some light on the issue for you. Drop me a line if you want.
