Best SEO Strategy?

Hello fellow Warriors. What in your opinion is the single best thing that you have done to your websites to raise them in the search engine rankings?

I know that there are many different things that you can do but what is one tip/trick that has really worked well for you? I want to start a thread loaded with awesome SEO tips. Thanks

    After a couple years of trial and error, this is the strategy I now use to hit page 1:

    - Select target keywords using Google Keyword Tool (high exact searches, low competition)

    - Keywords in website title, meta description & meta keywords

    - Re-name website pages with keywords e.g. mywebsites.com/keyword1.html

    - Hyperlink with keywords in footer of all pages

    - Keywords mentioned naturally in content

    - Anchor text for multiple keywords in content

    - Re-name all images with keywords e.g. 'circle_big.png' becomes 'keyword1.png'

    - A few website-wide & high PR page backlinks from related websites (I have a couple PR1-3 websites that I use)

    - Submit to a few directories with keywords in your listing title

      Great tips... Making sure that the target keywords are in you "page url" is very important: - Re-name website pages with keywords e.g. mywebsites.com/keyword1.html

        Just follow the Google rules and regulations like Google panda and be soft with your SEO on-page and off-page work, you will definitely rank higher very soon..

    With a new site the best thing you can do is start getting solid Directory links. The best place for this in my opinion is DirectoryMaximizer.com . You well get good links with manual submission that will help build the foundations of your website for ongoing SEO. Be sure to create multiple anchor texts and descriptions in DM. They will allow you to do this.

      1. Excellent Onpage SEO
      (Unique content with LSI keywords, Page Speed, non-duplicate content in your site, interlinking between your posts/pages, excellent website structure like a silo structure)

      2. Offpage SEO
      (Link diversity, IP diversity, anchor text diversity, contextual backlinks, link velocity & harmless links)

      Good luck with your SEO

      I doubt even 10% of the warriors implement all these and they just built links without establishing a plan for their SEO strategy and expect their rankings to last for years to come.

    The best strategy is the one that will guarantee getting a top rank and although lots of updates have been reported by experts as well as the search engines, like the recent algorithm changes applied by the Google team, but if your website has the real weight, sooner or later it will reach the front pages of search engines, especially Google. A combination of unique, original contents plus links will help achieving the set goals after a while.

    The real problem sometimes is the matter of time and that webmasters might get impatient after working on their optimization tasks for some time. Because of competition levels in most web niches, it is now more difficult than the past to have top ranks but it is still possible. Add valuable contents to your site, the ones that will be written professionally and cover the targeted keywords. Then gather some links from highly relevant sources.
