Will joining war room save my local business site?

I have a new business valepestcontrol.co.uk in Cardiff UK, i have been steadily optimising it over the last month or two, re writing pages to remove any possible plagiarism, still got a fair few to go.
Was building the page position slowly but suddenly find the site has sunk badly. What sort of backlinks should i have got for it during the honey moon period without black hat tactics?
It doesn't make sense to me, its just a local business site, but i'm not even in the top 100 any more - what am i meant to do?
Is it worth joining the war room - will i find out what to do there?

currently non existant as of beginning of this month on searches like "pest control cardiff", "wasp nest cardiff"
This is my main hope for an income so i'm getting rather desperate, had hoped to get into SEO later this year if i had success with my site but thats not looking like good news for any potential customers lol

Lol I doubt the war room will help you ha! The only coversations they have in there are which newbies they're gonna sacrifice next on the alter of the wso forum.

You should have been done local seo and social so plenty of local directories like Yelp. Google places, niche forum posting and some social like posting your blog links to twitter and fb.

Why are you escaping plagiarism? have you copied content? tut tut

      haha funny.

OP, War Room isn't gonna help you.

I looked at the few links you have. You need more.
You're on the right track, just get more like those.

So what kind of seo tactics are you using at the moment. What sort of backlinks are you building and what directories are you listing to?

War room wont don't much for you.

If you think your website has sunk due to some unnatural links then try to remove those links and see if that helps.

After that build... More links to your website and hope these ones stick

    SEO is a repetitive game

      Thanks for the replies.
DM - I confess you got me I copyied and pasted - just factual content that is repeated all over the place by most others, ie breeding habits, descriptions etc but I am going thru these slowly to change them. I was going to put no follow links but saw google doesn't like those either.

Mosa - Ive done local directories like Yelp, Google places (what a nightmare - we have 3 different businesses from same home address), and then other directories but none of them are page ranked very highly
Niche forum posting is tricky as there are only 2 uk pest forums and they don't show back links to the site.
Ive started doing yahoo answers, don't know what the value is but have had a lot of best answers.
Has anyone got a good description on how to do some social like posting your blog links to twitter and fb.
I know i must have done as much work on local directory links as other local pesties but it just isn't getting me any where, when i check other business backllinks i can see a few have used black hat, but i dont want to do the same to find i get dropped by google later.

Mosa - Any ideas on how many back links are needed and where friom? - I am not a fast typer (still one fingered even after god knows how many years)

What are the best links to build, anybody know of a list of where to find them?

Yukon - sorry for your loss, thanks for the heads up and sharing

Sovereign - I haven't placed any unnaturral backlinks that I'm aware of - any advice on where to build more links?

Anyone got an instruction book lol

Thanks to you all, shame to hear your thoughts on the war room, had hoped it would be a step up from here which would have made it something very exceptional - but seems like advice here is tiptop and straight

If i could crack this for myself then I would happily do this for others, but i have spent days (in fact weeks on this and I can't believe I'm not doing better, especially when compare to a £300 optimised site by some rip of sales team

Honestly you are being a cheap businessman here and you can't pretend anything else. You started your own business site and copied others people content around the web. You also prefer to waste weeks on trying to fix things on your own rather than pay 200-300$ an expert to fix it for you.
Reading your post would be enough for me to stay away from your business whatever your business is, and funny thing Google is getting smart enough to understand the same thing.

    - Now a friendly and free advice, take 500$ out of your pocket, pay a decent web designer , do some basic SEO and get a content writer for your site, it's less than 1 pound per 100 words. Regards

Well i think you have lost rankings due to the duplicated contents as google has launched its new version of penguin last month. I suggest to read about the lagos and the new changes that has happened so far from Google's side and avoid using that techniques that has harmed your site.
I myself has observed that many of the directories and the forums has changed their ways of web sire inclusion and most of them have launched their new versions of sites and hence remove the past links. So in this way it was the possibility of being sunk up. So not to worry remember slow and steady wins the race. You need a lot work to do. Change your contents and write the unique and well written contents and try to avoid the spun contents. Hope your will get better rankings.

That is good advice from GodMode. Sometimes you have to reinvest into your business and get it done right. You will soon recover the expenses but having a quality website with quality content plus soe work will get you extra points.

I agree with GodMode52 statements somewhat..

A business site should be the highest quality with 0 spam with a good reputation, you shouldn't even be in this mess. Writers only cost $1 per 100 words. Plus why aren't you using Adwords? You can pay them as little as 2% and increase you business 10 fold.. don't tell me this is some kind of mastermind plan, people who don't use Adwords don't know the value it can bring to a business.

I honesty look at this like cheapskate, business' who spam, copy content and don't spend on a advertising budget, every business has an advertising budget of at between 2%/15% depending on how long they retain their customers.

"What sort of backlinks should i have got for it during the honey moon period without black hat tactics?" It's definately the spam and copying content, it could take you months to sort it out.. Good luck with it, I've dumped all my blackhat sites, luckily I have the sense to keep the business ones seperate and 100% whitehat.
