How to get a site ranking really FAST? (no worries on the long term)

I should have thought of this much sooner, but only now I had the idea to make a site related to EURO 2012. Since I will be using this site for just 3 weeks I am not concerned about the long term, future updates like Google Panda, Penguin and stuff like that. All I want is to make some quick cash in this 3 weeks period...

So what should I do to get the site ranking as fast as possible and as high as possible?

If your making a sacrificial site then the fastest way to rank it is using Private Blog Networks. Private Blog Networks work great but they are extremely dangerous as Google will penalize your site so heavily, should they uncover the network you're using, that your site will be finished.

How much will cost to use a Private Blog Network? The thing is that I don't want to invest too much money in this, since I'm not so sure about the results I might get.

I was thinking of buying 2-3 Fiverr Gigs...do you think that by blasting the site with lots of links will help it rank better in just a few days?

Also if there is something I can do myself... ?

You can try blasting links. It might get you ranked for a few days. In my opinion though, you are already too late. You are far from the first person to think of this, but other people doing it started months ago.

There are a lot of marketers that use this strategy for big events. They set up websites for the World Cup, UFC events, boxing PPVs, big movie releases, etc... All short-term sites. However, they start these projects months to a year in advance.

Maybe you should try hiring some experience SEO, just be careful on blog network co'z there are some blog networks that has been declined by google and do not index instead it becomes a risk on the site. Create natural links that's my best advice as an SEO expert the new google algorithm punished over optimize websites so be careful on optimizing your website because it might turn out the other way you want it to be.

I would not rest on everything you have done so far. Keep your content fresh and current and get as many backlinks as you can.

Yea use a private high PR network. You can rank really fast with that. Also do a lot of linking from twitter. These 2 things will get you to the top fast.

Getting as many backlinks won't do any good if they came from irrelevant and low ranking websites. In fact, it can get you penalized by the Penguin. To gain the favor of google's Panda and Penguin, make sure to provide on-site and off-site quality.

Meaning, aside from creating exceptional content, make an effort creating backlinks in PR4-9 websites that are relevant to your niches. Websites with .gov and .edu extensions are usually sites with high authority. Creating Backlinks to these websites can put a lot of weight to your websites' rankings.

Obviously none of you even read the OP. Read. Think. Then post. There are no prizes for post count.

Absolutely, what the hell is going on with the responses! Think the idea of promoting your forum signature is to make relevant comments that add value!

To answer your question, I would say you are to late seeing as im watching Poland vs Greece now.

As said, starting a lot earlier is the key to success, definitely money to be made doing this kind of thing.

Same can be said for at least 75% of the threads in this section. It really is getting out of hand.

Yes indeed there were lots of useless replies (they probably read just the title and not the actual post), but also some useful ones.

So I'll try my luck with building links to this website and see how things work, and immediately after that I'll build a website for the Olympic Games that will start on the 27th of July until the 12th of August.

It's not as hard as you'd think. But as Mike says, you might already be too late.

    1. Leverage the strength of an existing site. (YouTube or any of the hundreds of popular 2.0 sites.) Funnel the traffic through the existing site to your actual site.

    2. Blast away. I just posted this elsewhere, but I can rank a YT video pretty quickly with 80/20 DoFollow blasts. (80% DoFollow, 20% NoFollow.) I've ranked plenty of semi-fresh terms in under a week using this method. (Due to the surge of backlinks and authority of the site they're being sent to.)

I'm sure they'll get slapped eventually though. But that's not really an issue if you're going after something that's trending and will die off soon.

Agreed! this is like saying 'hey, I've got a great idea, I'm gonna build a christmas toy review site' on Christmas Eve! Bit late out of the starting blocks on this one fella!

However if you're still wanting to, I'd blast with AMR, Scrapebox and EWP. Then Blast the AMR and EWP backlinks with Scrapebox, then rinse and repeat a few times. You'll be ranking within a week or so but don't expect it to last long! How long are the euros, 2-3 weeks? Are you sure it's worth it??

Another way for quick rankings is to put your content on high authority web 2 properties. Zimbio, Wordpress, Squidoo. With proper on page optimisation and backlinking as above you'll be ranking in daysbut as well as losing rank similar to above, you also risk having your account deleted due to building too many backlinks too quickly. Zimbio is excellent for quickly ranking content for a short while. Google seems to like 'fresh' Zimbio pages and Zimbio don't tend to delete articles that are heavily backlinked with commercial intent.

    Good luck!

    Really fast? Hmm...

First and foremost, use Botnet hosting to cover your tracks. You want to minimize the chances that any of this gets traced back to you. Rent a VPS with bitcoin and tunnel your VNC connections using SSH.

Next, you'll want to hack into every decent-PR website you can get your hands on. It's good if the site has some relevance to EURO 2012, but it's quite alright if it doesn't.

Outdated Joomla installations are good targets. You can find guides online to help you through each step of the SQL injection.

Once you gain access to your first website, find an obscure way to make it relevant to your niche. If it already is relevant, you can skip this step.

You don't want to raise any red flags. Maybe make a small tweak to the title, or footer... Do something that tells Google that this website has something to do with EURO 2012, or something to do with something to do with EURO 2012. But don't do anything that is likely to alert the website's owner.

Now you build a link to your website. Make it discrete, but put it in a place that Google doesn't discount by default (NOT the footer or the comments section).

Continue this process indefinitely, mixing up the anchor text and follow/nofollow, until you achieve your high rankings. If you can find a way to automate this process, it's even faster.

    And that's it.

That's probably the fastest way, but it is also an incredibly bad idea. Don't do any of that. It won't end well.
