Do you still link between pages and posts?

Hello Everyone,

With this Google Penguin, does linking between pages and posts are still advisable?

I have read somewhere that interlinking your site is rather important. If a certain page or post didn't get indexed for whatever reason, it's a good way to get it indexed, freshen things up, tell the search engines a little more of what your pages and site are about etc.

Any information you may provide will be highly appreciated.

Cheers,

It would be really stupid not to interlink your pages.

It has something to do with search but more to do with readers. Links within content allow them to find what they are looking for. Lower bounce rate. Higher page views. More changes of making a conversion.

Works pretty well for wikipedia. Give it a try. You might like it.

I always link my home page to all other relevant pages of my site. I found it helps visitors to get quicker where they wanna go and Google index faster all my pages and changes in that pages, since I mostly backlink my homepage only. this way my other pages benefit too and faster.

Good internal linking structure never gets old.

Better always have a plan in place to identify the best ranking pages and link them to less ranking pages. (e.g. I'd spend 20mins per month on per site)
