Need Clarification: Getting Backlinks

I just finished my first batch of adsense sites (5 sites) and want to start the process of building backlinks. I signed up for a account with Social Adr to generate some bookmarks yesterday, do I submit just the main URL for each site or do I submit the URL for each article on each site? I also use articles but am really confused. I know so many things have changed since google has done their upgrades and I have read so many conflicting posts and articles on the matter. If I have a couple of unique articles written should I spin them or submit them as is? Where do I submit them if left as is and where do I submit them if spun?
