I go to a lot of trouble to write engaging meta descriptions that give a good idea of the content of my posts, with keywords, and the correct length limit, and I use the All in One SEO pack to do it. Then 9 times out of 10 Google ignores them and either puts the first 2 sentences from my text, or worse, picks a few phrases from the text that give very little idea of the contents of the article, and would certainly not encourage anyone to click on the SERP result.
