Site not being listed for keyword?

Hi!
So, a month ago, I started a new project. I published quite a few articles each targeting one low-traffic low-competition keyword. I expected to rank for them in a few days.

So these articles have been online for 1 month and I am continuing to publish more of them. I started building links to them on 05/21. The first article now has already a quite good amount of highquality backlinks linking to it, from my experience the SEO that I have down is enough to rank such an "easy" keyword.

Against all odds, it isn't even listed for it's keyword. Can't find it in TOP500. I have ranked quite a few sites before and did nothing different this time.

How come? What can I do?

Thanks in Advance

keep doing what you are doing and mix up the anchor text a bit :-)

Whats your on page SEO like? Have you got the basics sorted?

You shall do more backlinks with different platforms such as social bookmarking, social networking sites, blog commenting etc.

My anchor text is okay, I think. I use plain URL, my keyword, ~50 related keywords + quite a lot of generic anchor texts.
Well on page SEO shouldn't be the problem I guess. I use Wordpressplugin Platinum SEO. Per 500 words of text I have my keyword 3 times in it.

Well I didn't expect to be on #1 immediately, but at least in the TOP500. The keyword is so incredibly easy, I ranked harder keywords with 50 Social Bookmarks in TOP10 within a couple of days.

That's not the case. I have both.

Well so far these types of backlinks have been built:
      -Web2.0
      -HighPR Scrapebox Comments
      -Web 20 profiles
      -Forum Profiles
      -Social Media(facebook, linkedin, twitter)
      -Social Bookmarking

In the next days I am going to build some WIKI-links and additionally I will submit articles to a list of 20 document sharing sites I gathered.

      Cheers
