Google delaying campaign almost two days? Anyone else?

For the first time ever, Google has not started showing my keywords ads after a day and a half after I made modifications to an account.

I broke one adgroup into several for tighter targeting. It immediately improved the quality score - and a day and a half later the keywords are not triggering the ads.

I just got off a chat with a Google rep who had no explanation other than "wait another day". I asked him if this was a new practice of Googles - he said it just happens sometimes. and "don't worry about it". Seriously. If this had been a clients campaign and I knocked their lead gen offline for going on two working days now, they'd be peeved.

Has anyone else run into this?

    Yeah, I have had the same problem and got the same response from Google as you. However, after calling it was working the next day so it do not know if that was the call or just coincidence.

    Google dislikes when you game the system. If you discovered a way to get better ranking while paying less, then wait for google to look closely at your setup.

      That just happened to me on a new search campaign I added. It happens in content but this is the first time I've had it happen in search. Lame.

    STILL not showing. The rep allegedly elevated the issue but still nothing. As a test I added an ad in one active campaign with a domain redirect and they disproved it in 10 mins so someone is working there.

    Why wouldn't my ads be active in this one campaign? All ads are approved, all systems go on my side. Weird!

    susan - i notice you've been watching ryan d (and presumably perry b as well?) (love those go-go's btw)

    those two guys (ryan and perry) have taught me heaps about how to avoid this problem. not sure where they find out all their stuff, but it seems to work. haven't had it happen for maybe 4-5 months now... touch wood, fingers crossed, clutch rabbit foot, tug forelock humbly in the direction of big G...

    trebor - did you fix the problem yet?
