Over the past two months i have had adsense on two of my sites and i have been really disappointed by both.

I know that some niches have low click through rates but mine is around 0.20%. I hear people saying they get around 10% CTR but i just dont see how that is possible.

I have tried all kinds of ad types and positioning but nothing helps? I have even changed themes in hope for a better CTR.

I need some help because i must be doing something wrong. Here are my two sites.

What kind of content are you adding to the website? After you continue to add content, after a while, the ads slowly get better and more on target to what your content is about. If you're targeting your audience correctly, they will also likely be more likely to click on your ads.
Keep working. More traffic = more clicks, every day of the week.

Thanks for the help. It frustrating to see people with 10% click through rate and i cant even get above 0.20%

Don't worry about what other people are getting! never will work this way, focus on you and your campaign, be happy that you are getting traffic, now that you have a good chunk of people landing on your site make slight improvements. Test more then test even more, turn the micro sites into mini authority sites. Keep adjusting and it will come my friend and if not then, you can always build a new site in another niche, sometimes testing multiple niches is the way to go. Doesn't mean you have to trash your two sites, just mange your time better.

Adsense maybe just isn't a good fit, although it's a bit odd that your fitness site isn't getting more targetted ads. I am not in the US/UK etc. so I am probably seeing even lower quality ads, but still, none of them have ANYTHING to do with building muscles and whatnot.

I have no idea why that is, but what about trying some Clickbank products instead?

As for your "disease" page, that's odd, there are more targetted ads showing, I would have expected a better CTR. I wonder if most of your visitors are not actually looking for relief from the condition in question but just information, i.e. research traffic...

Sometimes Adsense is weird like that, I have sites built very similarly in similar niches, one gets good CTR, one has almost non-existent CTR.

One suggestion is to try and build more "problem-solving" content on subpages and try to get some more long-tail "solution-seeking" traffic off the back of your main content.

Sometimes you just have to keep tweaking...

Who says you can't earn money as an eBay affiliate any more? My stats say otherwise

Where is your traffic coming from? 0.2% is very low in my opinion. Your content and positioning seems to be okay.

I don't imagine your ctr will ever improve for the Osgood site. If you were a visitor, what kind of ads would you expect? Maybe a treatment or clinic for that disease specifically would attract a click, but I doubt there are any ads for that. At least, I didn't see any.

There are likely many relevant/interesting ad titles for the biceps site.
Nonetheless, when I visited your sites the only ads I saw were about web design.
You could try turning off interest based ads in your Adsense settings, which shows visitors ads based on their web history.
Go into adsense allow/block ads and you'll see it there.

Thanks for the tip. I am going to turn this off and see if it makes the ads more relevant.

Are you using AWStats? This might be the problem.

if u have good voulme of traffic and poor convertions with adsense, it's time to try another menotiozations methods. try to build a list. try to sell ad space. try to sell leads...

another thinking would be to add content that is more adsense friendly. meaning - writing about a topic and not covering everything. this way, the user need to click on a link or add to get more info. put the adsense block in a good place and u will get more links.

    good luck

I agree with the previous post, and here is a great tool that allows you, in WP, to put the Ad-sense ads where you want them to be in your post.

CTR is very low. You should try to check your ads in page if this actually relevant for your content or not.
