Im building a cite for a client. It is a local business. I am going to do a silo structure but have a question. I am going to use his services as the main silo pages and add supporting articles to each silo keeping it extremely related. My question is can I link to the Service Silos from other none silod pages. For example Silo 1 is Virus Removal, with different articles on virus removal for that silo. But I am also going to have none silod pages about different Faqs. Since some will contain info on virus removal, can I then link out to the Silo 1( Virus Removal Silo)? even though is not in that silo. Also same question the site will have a blog will it harm my silos if a link to them from the blog? Pic Below

There is a thread for this already. You might get better response there, http://www.warriorforum.com/adsense-...-examples.html

This is long term site structure, not a temporary algo. fix.

It might be a better idea to break the FAQ silo down & have a single FAQ for each existing silo (service1, service2, service3). This way each FAQ page will also act as a supporting page that you can link to/from other supporting pages in the same silo.

For the blog, I would create 3 separate silos just the same as the service side of the site, use each individual blog silo to help support the service silo pages based on the same subject (virus removal, etc...). If you have to link out of the silo, link to the main silo landing page, first, make sure the page your linking from shouldn't already be in the other silo to begin with.

ok one last question on the actual urls. Since Im also going to make a "My Services" page and a specific page for each service which I would be using as my main Silo Landing Pages how should I structure my urls? From the main domain or from the My Services Page. PS I dont really want to rank "My Services" page I want to rank my expecific main silo landing pages. Example below
    www.domain. com
    www.domain. com/my-services
    www.domain. com/my-services/virus-removal
    www.domain. com/my-services/virus-removal/supporting-article

or should i just make it
    www.domain. com
    www.domain. com/virus-removal
    www.domain. com/virus-removal/supporting-articles
and just have the "My Services" page outside the silos, linking only to the main silos landing page of each service?

Does my question make any sense lol?
