When posting articles on ezinarticles should I have my backlinks point back to the homepage of my website or the category I am trying to rank for? For example say my website home page is cars.com but I am trying to rank for the category toyota so should my backlink be for cars.com or cars.com/toyota.

You should link back to cars.com/toyota

Point your links to whatever page you want to rank for each particular term.

It depends on the topic of your article. If you want to link back to a specific page, then you could add something that will describe the page where you want to put a link back.

For example, cars.com/toyota is your target page, you could give some valuable information about toyota cars or something related to that. That is to give your readers a good and straight idea of your article.

Yes if you want to rank your category page then you should point your links on that page but don't build all your links on the category page because it will look unnatural to Google so make a mix and create back-links on both home page and category page.

If you want to rank your home page then you should create backlinks to your home page and if you want to rang your site category then you should create backlinks to your expected category like that: cars.com/toyota.

I purchased a backlink software called Ultimate Backlink Builder and I am hoping that someone has used it and is getting good backlinks. Please give me your take on the software.
