Hi guys. I've been in the adsense game for approx 4 months now. Initially I made 4 webpages, (approx 7-10 pages each with dozens of posts). It took a couple of months but they are now ranking and making a nice healthy sum (healthy for 4 websites anyway).

I while back I caught onto liassist, but unfortunately the product was sold out by the time I had decided to buy. Long story short, I constructed my own little bot for posting on linkedin, constructed another 11 sites and now they are making some real nice bank. I like the fact that i'm being proactive in sending targeted traffic to my sites and not have to worry about ranking in anyway.

I am now in the process of making up and testing a bot for facebook. Is there anybody else using similar techniques? Any other warriors that are using the social media traffic/not ranking website model? Any discussion and input would be greatly appreciated. Also for Sky and Matt (the liassist guys) do you guys use any other social networks in the way you use linkedin?

This is my first taste of adsense and i'm really encouraged by the fast results! Any musings and ideas from warriors would be greatly appreciated!

Interesting, I think it really depends on your content, if it's got viral potential then yes great concentrate on social media traffic but some sites don't necessarily lend themselves as well to the sharing model and sit better in the SERPS.

Some of the biggest sites out there (granted, not necessarily all monetized with adsense) get their majority share of traffic from social media without the need to rank. That seems preferable to me.

I earn the majority of my income from Adsense, Amazon, and Clickbank by using referral traffic from social networks and Web 2.0 sites.

It means that I don't have to worry about my Google rankings, which is nice.

Thanks for the replies guys! I think that due to the nature of social media it is very easy to target your audience. I think that due to the volatile nature of the google updates we'll see more im'ers going down this route.

Just be aware that more Adsense accounts are being terminated due to traffic from social media sites (because it converts so poorly for Adwords advertisers) than all the idiots who have friends/family click their ads, put together.

You need to spend several days in the Disabled Accounts section of the Adsense Forum. Everyday, guys are pleading to get their accounts reinstated. They receive an email from Google saying their account is being disabled because of "risk for invalid activity"...which means their traffic profile is outside the norms established by Google's police bot algorithm. Everyone of them starts off by saying, "But I never clicked my own ads" "This is unfair. I cannot control my traffic." "Google sucks and won't give me my money."

I would be real careful about funneling social media traffic to a page that is monetized with Adsense. It is probably best to send traffic to your home page, so there is a distinct step between a click.

Traffic from social media sites creates a much different profile than organic traffic from search engines, and the purchasing intent is much lower. Once a suspicious blip shows up from your site, Google tracks you over a protracted length of time to make sure they have a legitimate reason to ban your account. Their #1 responsibility is to protect Adwords advertisers (like some of us here on WF) not the Adsense publishers.

It is your account, and you can treat it however you like. Just know that even though you are "making some real nice bank" if your traffic profile strays outside the parameters established by their security bots, you are in the crosshairs and your account is about to be flushed. Google gives no warning. They assume you are utilizing some 3rd party tracking software that allows you to see IP addresses and click patterns, and take steps to protect the Adwords advertisers.

We all like to make money with Adsense, but a lot of us stay completely away from generating traffic from social media sites because the threat of being flushed is much more pronounced. It might be better just to make $50/day with Adsense, but keep your account for life.

        Good luck.

Hi Cade, thanks for your input and words of caution. On paper I can't see anything wrong with social media traffic, but in reality yes it seems that some folks do get banned because of it.

I think i'm going to keep on with this social media experiment and open another adsense account that uses only organic traffic. Spread the risk so to speak.

          Cheers

      Hi Asiancasanova.

Do you mind me asking how you promote your offers. Do you post wall messages to specific groups or is you strategy based more around having your own fanpage? Thanks in advance

Great idea on using social media to create backlinks and generate traffic. As far as I know, links in social media websites are rarely seen as spam by the Penguin. Though I use twitter, facebook, googleplus, I consider linkedin the best. It is easier to find the right type of audience in linkedin and I like the way my profile and content look so organized.

It seems Google is banning more and more adsense accounts. I've been hearing stories about the "quality of the sites" and "the user experience", both pretty subjective terms in my opinion. I know several people who really concentrated on having original content and good content who had their accounts banned due to the quality of the sites.

Sorry you missed out on Li ASSIST. We planned on selling a limited number and sold out in a few hours.
Facebook, Twitter, Pintrest etc. are a gold mine for traffic if you know how to leverage it. Li Assist has a very specific method behind it that not only drives a ton of instant, free traffic but the most highly targeted traffic I have ever seen. I still build lots of sites every month to rank organically though. We have great tools and methods for that as well. That being said, we will be putting out more tools and methods soon. Of course in VERY limited quantities Like Li ASSIST was.

I use Pinterest for a huge source of traffic to a recipe blog that has adsense on it. So I think for some niche Social media is a great tool but haven't tried it on a product niche yet.

As of now Facebook is still king however Pinterest is growing daily. If you have some craft, recipe or decorating blog (website) then take Social media to heart.

social media traffic is the best way to generate traffic in this century simply because the traffic is highly targeted. For instance, linkedin is for career people, business, job seekers. twitter is good for getting traffic to news sites, trending topic sites e.t.c.. btw, Liassist is quite a money making tool. thanks to Matt and Sky. looking forward to your next product release.

There are very few stories like you. Earning good in 4 months is very inspirational. Keep it up Jimmy!!!

So far as social media traffic is concern I tried it on my wallpaper site. As I am good in photoshop I created good wallpapers posted on my blog as well as small images on facebook. It created a viral effect. As the traffic is random I was not able to earn more with adsense because CPC was very low.

I have not tested any social traffic plugin yet.

Why is google so against social media? Even if a person makes his relative click on an ad, how many people would that be? 10 people once in a month out of 160000 daily visitors?
If google doesn't care for publishers (or doesn't want publishers), why care for google. Just take some other route. Especially since adsense pay is so low. And there can be lots of better ways to monetize.
Let google publish it's clients ads on their own google pages. Leave google alone and lonely in the dark.
I still dont have much traffic on my adsense site. I earn like 2 dollars a month from that adsense site. But one thing that always come to my mind is, if ever I get enough traffic, I would jump away from google adsense. Just calculate. Out of 10000 daily visitors and the normal 1.5% CTR, you only get 150 clicks. How much would tou earn from that? 10000 is a lot of visitors. That's 300000 monthly visitors. You can make plenty of money from other methods like affiliate or selling your own products or service. Maybe I'm wrong but this is what always cones to my mind and it seems logical to me.

Here's how I make cash with adsense and FB. You can take this to the bank.

FB Groups. Join em, create em. Wait until at least 8-10 posts go in after yours to post again. FB groups can be super targeted, but they gotta be public for the most part, and no worries about urls.

Any newspaper or organization that uses FB plugin for comments, and does not moderate them. (If you use them for url spamming...er...posting.) Always try and make the look legit. Just 3 days ago, one comment on one little ol' article made me a ton....No, I will not give away any name brands.
