WP Technical Question

Sorry for the newbie question and I don't know how to properly phrase it so please excuse me..

I'm in the process of creating a website. The site was created using a subdomain of my main account. However, on the new site I also want to be able to create the newsubdomain/blog then make posts on the blog. Can someone tell me in as basic/elementary style possible (think crayon mentality) how I can do this?

Thanks and I'm sorry if I offended anyone with what is probably a silly question.

install Wordpress in a subfolder called 'blog'.

or if the site is already wordpress, change the site address to site.com/blog.

or if you only want some posts as blog, make a category called blog.

or change the permalink structure to /blog/etc

    or.....

the list is endless, we need more details!

I have a site davegeorgeonline.com. That page would basically be a static page. Then I want to have davegeorgeonline.com/blog where I can put everyday blog posts. I know I know how to do this but why it is not coming together I can't say

So the whole thing is going to be under Wordpress then? Or you want the home page to be something completely different in its look and feel?

If it is the first one, then you just go under the settings in wordpress and have the homepage be the main page and the posts go to a page entitled 'blog', which you will need to create.

If it is the second, then as someone else suggested, just install Wordpress on the domain at davegeorgeonline.com/blog.

The original site is already created using WP called davegeorgeonline.com. However I want davegeorgeonline/blog to be the site that I post in. If you see davegeorgeonline.com you might see one header but if you go to davegeorgeonline.com/blog you could see a different header. If I type a post under davegeorgeonline.com/blog called "article heading" the url should look like davegeorgeonline.com/blog/article heading.

          Is that making any sense?
