Before now, i was not using any cms. I built the website from scratch and it was ranked on the 3rd page as at the last count but since i replaced it with a wordpress website, it has since moved to the 5th page. I'm confused because the keyword density is the same. is there something that i'm not doing on wordpress? SEO wise.

You didn't really lose anything. Websites bounce around between pages 3, 4, and 5 all the time. If you were on page 3 before, you were irrelevant. If you are on page 5 now, you are slightly more irrelevant.

If you changed your whole site to Wordpress, you may have changed some of the URL structure. That could cause a drop in rankings.

I also forgot to add that i redirected all my previous links to the new wordpress links.

If you've redirected traffic, it may take Google some time to pass the link juice from old pages to new. Consider resubmitting your sitemap.

Also, make sure you did those redirects correctly. Sometimes people don't double check and they wonder why their ranking dropped.

MikeFriedman makes a good point -- you're jumping around from irrelevant on the 3rd page to even less relevant on the 4th or 5th page. You're not getting sizable traffic in either position

    Hope this helps!
