I recently removed 5 out of the 8 affiliate links I had on my last post as some said it was too much. I'm not sure my rankings have improved but my conversion rates got lower than they already where! Is there something wrong with my site or is there something else going on?!

thanks!

Looks fine, I can't speak the language, but maybe your traffic just isn't that targeted. Where do you get your visitors from?

Yeah I'm sorry, I guess it's hard when you can't read the content, maybe using chrome translate would give you an idea. Anyway, it's a free trial I'm selling, a credit card CPA, and I get atleast 30 daily visitors from google. I also get almost 200 from the yahoo answers I do daily.

Are you getting enough traffic to justify A/B or multi-variate testing?

If so, try out VisualWebsiteOptimizer or Optimize.ly and get yourself testing different layouts, and website CTA's to see how it effects your overall conversion rate.

Again, if you've got the traffic, then start testing...

It could seem like your sample size isn't big enough to draw any kind of conclusions and I'm also questioning if people coming from Yahoo Answers are ready to click open the credit card for a free trial of some sort.

I'd just wait if I were you, take it easy and evaluate once you have a decent sample of visitors.

So with 3 leads from more than 1,000 clicks this month my website is doing well, the product and it's website is to blame right?

Yes if you're getting that many clicks then I wouldn't put the blame 100% on your site. I'd really consider changing the offer and see how it affects conversions.

Yeah, I forgot to mention my affiliate links do get clicked about 50 times a day. So people do visit the sale's page, but I've only had 3 leads from more than 1,000 clicks this month...

...right, I'm getting the affiliate links clicked on almost 100 times a day, only 4 leads this month...

It has to be the offer/product's fault right?

It could be that, it could be your copy is misleading as well.

Try out a new product and if that doesn't work then... Hire a copywriter
