    Poor guy.
You have to mark "Exact Match" on the google keyword tool. Actually there are no searches

Broad Match means the search query will contain your keywords may be in some different order and can have some other words as well. You should start targeting your website for other keywords with high searches in exact match.

Do you use Facebook ? Then you can make money just by inviting people to a Facebook group ! It's called the Instant Income System. How cool is that?

Try to see if there is not another keyword with considerable exact match searches that contains parts or a part of your domain. You could try to target this new keyword.

Hey...I have the same problem here ....But I'm using the [exact match] option at the keywordtool, the keyword (phrase) is: [How to create a character]

It says there is 880 global monthly searchs..

Now...since my website domain name is the same as the keyword: [howtocreateacharacter ". " ccom] (PR3) and ranking #1 on Google,......(I'm using Chrome and Internet explorer) in both my website appears on first page..

I'm obviouslly expecting 880 monthly visits (more or less)
But I'm actually getting only 145 visits monthly according to google analytics...

I know some of the people who search for that keyword will not enter my website........but that should be a really tiny percentage ( I mean if I search for something on internet I should look and see at the very fisrts results (firsts) even more... if the website has the exact same name as what I'm looking for .....

Could someone explain what is actually going on???.....Thanks in advance!!!

        Luismont,

Out of those 880 monthly global searches, you are forgetting that the keyword is split between google's top 10 listings on page 1. And also from page 2, 3 if people actually click through that far.

So out of 880 global searches, if you are on page 1 of google for example you are dividing 880 searches per month between you and whoever else comes up on google competing for that keyword.

Just because you are on page 1 ranking #1 doesn't mean much. Your meta tags could be using language that doesn't appeal to them and they are only clicking through to #2 or #3 and so on. There could be a multitude of reasons why you aren't getting more clicks. It's not only based on keyword searches its also based on your competition, ranking position, and also what google shows the end user in the short meta that gives the end user a short description of what that webpage/site is about. I don't always click on #1 just because it's first ranking. I actually read the short description to see if this matches what I'm really looking for before I click. If it somewhat matches, and looks appealing then I click though.

I actually know folks, who are ranking #3 and #4 for their keywords and get a higher click through then their competing #1 partners for the simple fact that the language they are using outcompetes #1 and is clearer to the person browsing. It's stands out more, and in turn gets them a bigger chunk of the traffic pie for that keyword.

That's how it works in some circumstances. Hope this helps you better understand and that I explained it better. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply, really apreciate it........

          Here is what is happening:

There is 880 monthly searchs on google
My website apears 880 times in first page!!
Only 145 times people click on my website!!
          .
          .
          .
So, obviouslly the mayority of clicks goes to another option
on page 1, 2, 3, 4, or just close their browsers.
          .
          .
          .
          I'm wondering Why??......lets think...
they search for [how to create a character], ...
          .
They will see a site on first page with the exact same domain name
          .
It also has the exact same title as "How to create a character" above the description
          .
          .
So the only factor left is the Meta-description

SO I CONCLUDE THAT THE META DESCRIPTION MIGHT BE THE ONLY ONE REASON
WHY THEY ARE NOT CHOOSING ME BUT OTHER WEBSITES, THERE FOR I SHOULD LOOK
          FOR A BETTER ONE......

FINAL QUESTION: Are you sure the keyword tool is 100% relieble!!!...., since it still seems to me that my actual description is not that bad to make the 84% of people to not choose me!!!...

          Thank you!!

For me, How to create a character doesn't give me enough information about you site and I don't read under the titles in Google. If I look other sites on Google first page, I see:
            • "How to Create a Fictional Character from Scratch: 12 steps"
            • "10 Secrets to Creating Unforgettable Supporting Characters"
            • "How to Create Characters for Your Novel"
            • "How to Make a Boring Character Interesting - Superhero Nation"
            and so on

Now for me, those titles appeal more and I'll probably choose one of those instead of yours. That's the way I search on Google and I guess I'm not the only one...

You are probably right....., I'm gonna make an "experiment" trying out ,other descriptions similar to others found on the first page....and see what happens...

I've also figure out, that not everyone is looking for cartoon characters as my website offers on its description,......but maybe book characters , movie characters,....and so on!!!.........

Now, I really would like to conclude that the keyword tool is 100% reliable, since I'm creating other websites based upon global monthly searchs based on the keywordtool!!

Thank you every one of you!!!

Well I guess If you write those KW's in Google kw searching tools, you'll find which one you should choose or even better, terms that have more search but and that your competition don't use

I'm not a reference, I'm just starting as well, but those assumptions seems logic to me...

You can use other keywords that are related to your website. Don't be afraid of using your URL as your anchor text. This will help in diversifying your anchor text.

Make sure you avoid linking to bad neighborhoods.

That's the only proof that making it to the first page doesn't really mean that you will be having a good number of traffic for your site.

Misconception begins when people think that the hompepage of the website is the most important page among others.

Remember, it will always depend on how compelling your website is. If you build it for users, then make sure you will catch user's attention.

You should consider using rich snippets for an image thumbnail - it does catch the eye and potentially boost CTRs e.g.

    Hello sahilwb,

I think you have some wrong information, or you're mistaken.

Since I checked with the keyword you have provided "website dollar", and I haven't found your site within first 10 pages in Google.com.

So how come you expect traffic? And more over your site "http://www.websitedollar.com/" not loaded, can't open it, it seems your site has been facing with some downtime issue.

So there is no question to get traffic.

I have seen the comments made by my fellow warriorforum members as well, but it’s really unfortunate that no one didn't bother to look at the actual problem by opening your site, or by searching with the keyword provided by you. Then the answer could have been as transparent as water.

Check the exact match searches for your keyword, may be you are talking about broad search. Find relevant keywords which have medium search volume and then try to rank with them.
