Is ScrapeBox still effective after the google panda and google penguin updates? If so, what are some of the do's and don'ts while using Scrapebox?

ScrapeBox is still effective. But I don't use it to comment. I use it to find high PR blogs to comment manually.

Why do you NOT prefer to use it for blog comment posting?

You wanna bann your site from google? Don't use it for automatic posting!

    Two reasons:
    - you will be a spammer, and your website get a bad trustrank. You will cause headaches for a lot of webmaster and them delete your link (So you get a lot of backlink and after you will lost a lot of backlink. That is the way to be banned from Google)
    - most blog comment give nofollow links

I don't prefer it. But it is a great tool to find relevant blogs. So you can contact the owner and change link or send him a real helpfull article in exchange for a dofollow link.

/off: this is my firt post in warrior forum - sorry for the bad english /

I think, Scrapebox is a great research tool, but by all means I would not use it to comment on blogs. Anyway, 99% of all blogs will file your comments as spam and 99% of the tiny percentage of comments that get accepted will be on useless blogs. Using Scrapebox (or any other tool) for automated comment posting will do you more harm than good.

Then in your case, how do you use Scrapebox? If you don't post to the blogs that you scrape, then what's the point in scraping blogs? The way that you refer to Scrapebox makes Scrapebox sound useless. How do you use it?

As others have already mentioned, to find sites to manually get links from.

Using SB's automatic commenting feature greatly diminishes the value of the links you'll receive. Generally speaking you'll get links from auto-approve sites, or websites with dumb webmasters. That means the links will be extremely low quality and on pages with 1k out bound links. Yes, 1,000+++.

By scraping lists yourself, sorting by PageRank, and other variables. You save a ton of time and can find pages with REAL value that will accept REAL comments and thus give your site REAL results. Yes it's time consuming, but imagine trying to find these type of links manually. So you do save a ton of time by using Sbox for that.

There are so many things you can do with scrapebox besides scraping and posting comments.

I do a lot of keyword/market research with scrapebox. Another thing is analyizing the backlinks of competitors. There are just so many things you can do. You should look around and read some tutorials on scrapebox. You are missing out on almost all of what you can do with it.

Well I already have plenty of Keyword Research Tools, I just need a great link building tool to generate backlinks. This is why I'm asking about scrapebox post Panda & Penguin...

There is no great tool to generate good backlinks automaticly. You must to build links manually or buy linkbuilding service.

But the best way to get strong and valuable backlinks:
        1. step - just make great content
        2. step - share it
        3. step - and you will get backlinks automatically for free

I think that there is more to it than just that Xefande. Without the software to help automate some of the tasks, it is way too difficult. I think that some of these tools could at least build some of the links. It only makes sense.

Thanks for your help guys. I'm still open to more opinions though...

Google penguin update has affected a lot of sites for low quality backlinks and using of automated tools for backlink building. Don't use scrapbox to destroy your site from search engine.

If scrapebox is NOT good for blog comment posting, then what kind of posting would it be good for?

I need to build quality backlinks.

In this stark and gloomy penguin days I prefer (as I did before) to outsource it.

Find a great service, a guy/gal who knows whats needed and thats it.

The trick here is to find the service.

For example, I do not buy high PR backlinks with my keyword anymore. It is now well known that your backlinks should include a lot of click here, url, check this, etc. So, check the backlink providers and look into what they offer and their results from reviews.

You can even contact the guys who bought the service and ask them their experience

I bought this and got some 20 high Do follow links. They also offer some 30 links a month. But you need to do it manually or you can outsource it.

Not really sure how this would help you use scrapebox even if it is from one of the most well known backlink builders.

If you want to use it for something worth while I bought this last night and it will tell you what to really use it for,

I use scrapebox for research only and not for posting. a 5 manually posted comment in PR3 pages with not more than 40 OBL each page is better than 500 links from 500 pages with more than 1000 OBL...

i personally use scrapebox to post to my blog automatically here is how i do it

    1. scrape bloglist using my kw
    2. filter off bad blogs
    3. select by PR that means all blogs having PR zeros and somethings PR 1 are removed leaving me with fewer amounts of bloglist for commenting
    4. now i determine the amount of blogs am to POST TO in the section of blog list e.g if i want 20 comments to my websites i will put 30 blogs in the bloglist section knowing fully well some will return as failed and while others are slow poster. for the slow posters i don't do that just delete it off.
    5. for the comment section i write our out exactly 10 comments and each comments should be about two to three sentence long that really make sense.
    6. at the end of the day out of the 30 blogs i commented on using scrape box i end up getting 16 to 18 links, i do check it on my webmaster tools to see the link.
    7. are this link good backlinks? yes off course because they talked about my niche and are having good page rank.

you should only use scrapebox to build links to already existing links for example web 2.0 properties, not directly to your site...

So the moral of the story is --- USE SCRAPEBOX ... Find the high PR blogs .. Then Manually post comments. Right ???

Pretty much. And it's got a ton of other uses. Just steer clear of the fast poster and you'll be fine.

First of all you need to know specific functions of SB. Then you would realize how effective this tool is. I use this tool almost everyday to do tons of research works, validation, monitoring, searching etc.

Even some are saying SB is going to be a penalty tool if you use it to build backlinks directly to moneypages I disagree with them! SB can be used as a great link builder yet now. Just make sure you are not building hundreds of backlinks at one time. You can drip feed yourbacklinks over few days. It should work like charm!

I saw many advices here about not using SB fast posting and things like that.

I would like to ask you all one simple question....

What test bring you to this conclusion...

Usually when I get a new tool I get a new domain... get a website build on it ($10-$12) I optimize it a little just basics and then I use only that tool on that website and after 1-2 month of test I know if that worth the money or not, or what method work or not...

Now if you could I will appreciate what test bring you to the conclusion that is better to stay away from ScrapeBox fast poster?

You would be better of posting Scrapebox comments as tier 2 links pointing to your tier 1 links are placed, like your web 2.0 social bookmarks, PDF sharing sites, etc. And maybe some manual comments on high PR sites with low OBL, hope it helps
