I test my ads placement by moving them around from top, middle, bottom or side and found that placing them just under the title has converted the best for me.

With the amount of traffic you get you can really get good feedback by testing different positions of your adsense placement. What is the site you get the 8k from?

My best performing ad block is right below the post title (between the title and the content).But, I didn't have any ad block there for more than a year. I kept changing and experimenting with different spots and different styles to find the most profitable one and that's how I found out that below the title of the post is a great spot.


I guess what I am saying is, you just have to experiment. There are many different factors at play here, like the site layout, niche and so on. so what works for me am not work for you. The best thing to do is to test different spots, run them for at least a week or so to get affair reading of how they may perform.
