Do you want to get traffic? Yeah, its very necessary. Even if you are running ads on google's adwords network, they are still going to be looking at the quality of your page.

Not necessarily but having your site's main keyword listed at the top of the SERPS will get you a lot more looks than not.

The other way is endless promotion or some sort of viral marketing. I have sites with both (one of my sites that really isn't optimized is a review site that I promote via social networks) but my main money comes from being listed high in the SERPS.

Is that a rhetorical question, or did you post just to promote the site on your sig file? I mean, if SEO isn't necessary, then your sig file is just a waste of people's time and money.

It can and can't be.
Depending if you want a quick fix or a long term solution.
I always recommend getting your site optimized.
But if you in it for just a little while than just use adwords, its a sometimes expensive quick fix.
Please try getting your site SEOed though, you won't be dissapointed.

Search engine optimization is truly important. There is an on-page optimization, but what's more important is the off-page optimization. Of course, you can try PPC but if you want to save lots of dollars, optimize your website, even the inner webpages that will vote to your domain.

But are you sure that you are marketing SEO services? You only have "#" keyword that is active on organic listings (which can be seen on SEO Softwares) ... :-(

If you are a small page then yes you need SEO. Large pages that generate lots of organic links dont need to but everyone has to start somewhere!

If you build a site people love the traffic is going to grow naturally. I mostly don't have to think about SEO anymore, and I think SEO is somewhat overblown in its importance. If you don't have a worthwhile site, SEO is not going to help you all that much.
