  • After Penguin update, you need to look for several things.

    1) link type diversity
    2) PR diversity
    3) anchor tag diversity
    4) unique IP range diversity
    5) white hat strategy
    6) consistent link velocity

    Google is extremely good at detecting patterns as they have numerous MIT professors as their team leaders.

  • Guest blog posting is one of the powerful technique of getting good quality backlinks. I also use blog commenting, web 2.0 pages and forum signature.
  • It is important to mix up your keyword/anchor text. I love both homepage (blogroll) links and contextual links. I am dominating Google using both. I also helped my clients move from page #100+ to top of page #1 using quality link building.

    My advice is to go for quality, not quantity. That's the key.

    • Hey man do not go with the link buying its not worthy in the seo process instead of it you should try to earn the high quality links they will help you in driving the traffic plus they will increase your serp positions also.
  • I dont think link buying is secure way. Coz in case of search engine note it then you can penalize. Try always to get links of do follow, permanent and free nature. If you are looking for Theme related links only the contact webmasters to put your link to his websites. You can use also three way link exchange to get one way link from theme related websites.

    There are many ways to get backlinks but i will not suggest for paid links.

    • Buying links is too risky after the Penguin update. It is better to build links by yourself. Take a few minutes everyday and submit your site to web directories, comment on niche related blogs, and write content for article directories. If you want to get long term results and improve your rankings, this is the way to go.

    DON'T DO IT.

    If you're caught, you or your clients will most likely be deindexed from Google.

    iAcquire was deindexed after allegations of link buying.

    Editorial based links are the way forward now .. just paying for links doesn't mean your content is good or should be ranking well in SERPs.

    So make sure your content is the best and focus on 'outreach' .. emailing webmasters asking them to link to your content .. and also guest posting of course. (watch out for over optimizing your anchor text though).
