Social Media Marketing And SEO

I haven't seen a lot in this section about social media marketing, and so I want to talk about what I've learned about it, and how it relates to SEO.

To start with, the two things are completely related, and it's not just that social signals and shares can help your website's ranking.

I've found that you can rank Facebook pages, You Tube videos, Yahoo Answers questions, Warrior Forum posts, and even Twitter profiles fairly easily on Google if you know what you're doing.

I've found ways to pay people a small amount to tweet and share your site, ways to get tens of thousands of followers and likes etc, and it is improving my rankings on Google for my website, but I'm actually getting ten times more traffic through social media.

Tweeting, sharing, making videos, stumbling, commenting, posting on forums, this is how I get most of my traffic. The thing that I've noticed that affects my website's Google ranking the most is updating it regularly with good content, and getting lots of social back links, which also get tons of traffic, more than the good Google ranking gets.

Yeah, you are absolutely right. Social media are playing a great role now a days. It is the great source of potential traffic. Good targeted and useful traffic can be found through popular social networks like Facebook, Twitter, etc.

I had a look at it, and it looks OK now. I can pretty much get anything you want to do with social media, including posting or tweeting for you. I would recommend Twitter followers for traffic, or a share to my social connections. I thought you had a hard time with SEO lately? How does a person who struggles to understand SEO swear by the big impact that social links have on rankings?

At one point, I was first on the first page for Facebook page likes worldwide. I was lucky to get a dozen unique views a day for that keyword when I was ranking for that, and it took a fair bit of effort to get that ranking. Today I got a few dozen views from Google for different things, out of a few hundred views altogether, mostly from social media.

Yeah, you're right, it's not the best keyword, but how much competition is there out there for anything to do with Facebook? I'm actually competing against Facebook itself as one of the results. It takes too much effort to rank for those keywords, for the traffic they would get, compared to ranking for lots of smaller searches, and my main source of traffic, which is tweeting and sharing on social media.

I recently found one of my You Tube videos that I made for a friend on the first page of a very popular search. I didn't do anything in terms of back links, it just got views on You Tube, which helped it rank by itself. I make videos cheap if you want one. Potentially tens of thousands of views, if you're lucky enough to pick the right title, for as low as ten dollars.
