Try this :

Go to Google and type in "Google blogs"

Go to google blogs either the .com or .co.uk version

Type in your niche, this could be a related keyword if your niche is dog related type in "dog training"

Now you'll have a list of dog blogs that you can comment.

I use the google page rank toolbar to sort out high page rank sites and pages.

It may take a little time to find them but you can also find high traffic high page rank pages doing it this way.

Just make sure your comment is related to either the content or a previous comment, this usually gets a conversation going and more likely the owner of the blog will approve your comments.
