Hi

I have a question, If i use Domain1.com and redirect it to Domain2.com >> And i drive traffic to Domain1.com and it will be redirected to Domain2.com when someone visits domain1.com

Will domain1.com get a piece of the cake of its ranking ? or domain2.com will gets all the credit ?

thanks

Yes, most of your "D1" linkjuice will go to "D2" when you do a redirect...I won't say 100% of it will, but you'll get most of it though.

Hey Joey Thanks, so you're saying that probably both D1 and D2 will get a piece of the cake on the search ranking too?

Currently my D1 is receiving 1000+ visits a day , so im thinking to test out forwarding it to D2, but i do not want to lose the search rank on D1 or lose its Alexa ranks. any advice ?

Domain 2 will get most of the credits of domain 1.

I think you are just going to drive your traffic to d2 domain from d1 domain it will not cost you in changing the pr or alexa or the positions of the d1 domain. Only the traffic going to move it means that there will be no effect on the d1 domain.

So basically D1 will still be in good order meaning can improve ranks from the incoming traffic too right ?
