      Hi Blue445nm,

Just search for the keyword, without quotes, then append the following to the URL in the browser's address bar and press enter:
      &pws=0

That extra URL parameter disables the Personalized Search feature so you can see the normal rankings without the personalized bias.

You can also use this bookmarklet to see de-personalized results.

Simply drag it to your Bookmarks toolbar, then click on it after you search Google.

I use Google Chrome Incognito. That way I don't have to clear anything. And, oh, don't include quotes in your search. Just type in the keyword directly, put your self in the view of the searcher.

This (plus the Private Browsing mode in Firefox) and no quotes.

You can also use a web proxy like the one at hidemyass.com to search from different IPs and locations; for instance, if you live in the UK and target the US market with your site, using your UK IP for the search will not yield the most accurate results.

All of the the above mentioned work and i have used all of them. Now a days the easiest thing i do is check it on seoserp.com site. You can find this tool at Google Top 1000 SERPs checker

The bonus thing is that it searches the first 1000 results , not just the default 100.

Actually it is far easier to use a SERP checker that actually works.

        That thing is awful.

seoserp.com SERP checker has been broken for months. For an automated tool that checks the top 300, and records and graphs your results I recommend WhatsMySERP.com It uses private proxies so your results are accurate. It's free too.

Not sure why people keep quoting seoserp.com, but their SERP checker hasn't worked in about 6 months.

I use Google AdWords preview tool - you can set parameters there (country, language) and see exactly where your website is.

I used the tool from seoserp.com to check for my one of keywords "Mario games online" and returned 0 when actualy is on #23 on google.com, also tryed it with another keyword for other website whic is #3 on the first page of google and the result is still 0 - so from my point of view this tools is crap.
I think I will stick with CherryPicker serp checker as it is more valuable to me.

I thought the OP was asking for a manual way; if you're looking for a rank checker tool, you can try the free Rankerizer, it's not 100% accurate but close.

Some of the previous post work but the best and most complete method is this.

We must take in consideration 2 thing.

1 When you manualy check for G result on local searches.

For this clear your cookie, clear your browsing history, and search for keyword not "keyword" in the local G home page like G.co.uk

2 When you search for result on other location let's sa like USA.

Clear your cookie, clear your browsing history, use a proxy in browser and then search for keyword not "keyword" on G.com

Use a proxy for that contry, the ip location have an important role, for few years G try to give the most relevant result for your location and it use IP location for that.

I will not recomand to use a web proxy since G also take in consideration your IP browsing history. Just load a proxy in your browser.

But you also have the posibilty to make an automated search and for this I recomand RankTracker from SEOPowerSuite... you can find a cracked version around the web.
