So obviously we all write blogs for improving rankings as well as adding relevant content to our sites for google and our readers but my question is, should you only place the same blog in one place or submit it all over the place? Also, should you submit your blog to a site like pingler?

Thanks for the help everybody

  • I would only put the blog in one place.

As for Pingler... I don't ping stuff. If my content is not getting indexed than my SEO or site structure sucks. My own fault.

On a side note, what is it with all the carpet cleaners lately in here? Did you guys have a meeting and decide this was the place to hang out?

    • Thanks Mike, hahaha
I think it's just we have been ripped off maybe more then any other industry by so called SEO experts and we are trying to do this for ourselves or find an actual expert that does things correctly that does not get us dropped from high rankings once they get us there. I personally am just trying to learn things I don't know. Thanks for your help. I appreciate it. Truly.

P.S. where is the one most powerful place you would put your blog? Or is it better to stagger them on different places like, blogger, Wordpress, your own site, etc...?

I have one more for you Mike, is You Tube a very powerful place to build backlinks or just traffic since it is a no follow? There is a competitor that is ranked #1 with a You Tube video for a very competitive keyword. He does have 2 pages of remarks though. Is that the key? Get remarks?

Thank you very much for your time and help

  • Are you asking if is good to build backlinks to your blog? If so, the answer is yes.

I use many different sources from static pages, bookmarking, feed directories and etc...

  • If one is writing blogs just for SEO that's ok but if One is Doing it Because its his passion then its admirable.Blogging makes money and that's the only reason everybody writes it.Applying SEO techniques will just help in showing up in Google pages but the content should also be good enough.Otherwise doing SEO will not make you MONEY.
  • Youtube is just another way of generating traffic. The advantage of Youtube unlike a lot of other properties is its ability to rank well (and easily) Be sure when you implement your videos that you use trackable links, so you can measure your efforts.

PS. Mike, do your carpets need steam cleaning at all, because I've got a few leads

    *4,200 posts - yay.
  • This is some great feedback - video is by far the best you will ever find for ranking fast and it sticking. Traffic is always the issue, we personally are huge fans of video marketing (mainly because we have an in-house video distribution system to over 100+ video hosting sites with a PR of 4 and above). The more videos the merrier = targeted traffic. If you like, you can visit our site for a FREE 16 video education course on traffic generation. It is packed with 3 hours of ideas that are low or no cost. Good luck and stick with it, and remember: Everything is hard until it's easy! But make it easier faster with education.
