Hi,

I know it does a lot of hard work, or a lot of money.

But I want to know how much work, I mean how many articles, videos, promotion, or how many sites, months etc. it does take to make $100+/day from AdSense?

I'm considering to build 1-3 AdSense sites to make $100+/day online, but want to know whether AdSense is a good way or a bad way to reach that goal.

I think it's a bad approach to decide on a monetization strat, then build a site.

I think it's better to look for a valuable niche with good traffic, low competition and visitors with some commercial intent. Then, when you have the traffic, experiment with the best way to monetize it.

As for how much work - you're not going to get a straight answer. It entirely depends on the niche, competitiveness, the quality of your content, the profile of your traffic etc. etc. etc. There are thousands of variables. Find the right setup and you can make $100 a day from one-page website. Find bad setups and you can struggle to make $1 from 100 sites with tons of content.

Just curious how you manage to sell minisites in your sig but don't know how to earn from Adsense?

It's not about how many articles, videos, months, or any of that that will make you money on Adsense.. it all boils down to traffic, CTR, and the amount of $ you earn per click.

I'm not managing these mini sites, and I don't want to manage a lot of mini sites. That's the reason I want to sell them.

And I'm not claiming any income/revenue with these minisites.

I'm considering to start building 1-3 sites.

it is a good strategy to build authority sites for adsense. There is not need for many niche sites.

If you want to make that kind of money per day, you will need to do keyword research and aim for high paying keywords.

try to find some good exact match keyword's volume for example "tiger woods" it has 550,000 Global and 301,000 local exact monthly searches this type of keyword wouldn't generate any affiliate sales but in term of AdSense it would be very profitable...

Good luck trying to rank for "Tiger Woods"

I'm not saying you couldn't do it. But it would be a heck of a lot more effort than it's worth.

The secret is actually the exact opposite. Look for longtail keywords that are easy to rank. Longtail keywords are higher converting than general keywords, and you don't need to put any effort into ranking them. <-- Especially if you have decent content.

The quickest way to $100 per day online is by actually providing a valuable resource. That way you won't have trouble getting traffic, and visitors will be more likely to stay on the page longer (and click on your ads).

    Best adsense policy:
DON'T TRY TO EARN FORM ADSENSE. ESTABLISH YOUR WEBSITE, GET VISITORS, MAKE IT POPULAR,MAKE IT VALUABLE FOR THE PEOPLE. THEN YOU CAN EXPECT EARNING IN RETURN.
I think its easy to earn 100$ day form 5 blogs. you just need targeted traffic and a huge number of them. working 5 hours a day is very enough.

I have a 5 page Exact Match site written by "writers" from India. It made $150-$200 per day before Penguin and for several years since I built it. Its main keyword was in the top position in the SERPs. Building the site cost me $90 and promoting it through blog networks cost $100 per month. So over 4 years, that $90 site has earned me over $150,000.

I have another completely white-hat site with over 3,000 pages in the same niche. The articles are all 700 - 2000 words and written by American graduates and post-graduates. It has cost over $55,000. It makes $10 to $30/day. Yesterday Independence day, these 3,000 plus authority pages made a whopping $4.92!

If you are planning to use SEO exclusively for your promotion, $100/day really depends on how many quality links you can get to your site. The 1st site had 1000s of links from blog networks. The second high quality site has only a few links from Yahoo directory, botw.org, DMOZ, and few of my own same vertical PR2-PR4 sites with different web-hosts. The second site ranks no where for any top terms. But it gets 1000s of long-tail visitors. The problem with long-tail traffic is that it does not convert very well for Adsense. Most gurus will not tell you this unfortunate fact.

My cheap ugly $150/day site had an average click-through of 50%. My mega-site has click-through of less than 1%. It jumps to over 6% if I cheat and place images next to the Adsense Ads. But of course I just placed images as a test.

So if you can find out the cost of acquiring enough incoming links so as to beat those pages that are currently in the top 3 for your chosen keyword; you can then work out the cost of making $100/day.

For earning estimations, ensure you use exact match data. I find it very accurate when multiplied by the average CPC.

Do not believe those gurus who tell you to build a large quality authority site and to not worry about getting links. This is complete B.S. The money is in the links. No links = No ranking=No Money

^^ yep, you need backlinks. It the end it all boils down to this: rankings -> traffic -> money (Adsense/CPA/CB/CJ/Amazon).

However, building high quality websites does make it easier to rank for those keywords. It also gives you some leverage when going after high quality backlinks (people see your site and gladly link to it, BUT you have to ask them to do it).

EDIT: about long-tail traffic... on my biggest site those visitors convert the best. It differs from one niche to the next, and there's absolutely no way to guess if they are going to convert until you actually get the traffic.

EDIT 2: try placing an Adsense image-only ad block next to a text-only ad block. Same effect as having an image next to an ad, but completely legit (I think).

High quality websites also gives you leverage so the site doesn't end up being Googles b$tch.

Seriously, useful content makes it very easy to diversify traffic so the site isn't 100% dependent on Google SERPs.

I have recently purchased Robbinson's Authority site AdSense course.

In his course he's talking about Keyword tree, or whatever it's called.

Is Robbinson's Authorty site type of website a good model to follow to start making 3k+ a month?

Yea basically, there are lots of benefits to building high quality websites.

For instance: yesterday my site was mentioned twice (in one article) on a pretty big news site. Not one of the top news sites, but still a good PR7 news source. I doubt they would've linked to a ****ty mini site.

dude there are probably a thousand threads on this forum relating to what you seek and they all have really good answers. But to make money on adsense, if you're new, takes time and focus and work..duh just like anything else.

You can build 100 small niche sites, using micro niche finder to help you find them, and go that route, but it is major time consuming and you have to work at keeping them all afloat.

Or, you can build a few majority sites like you speak about but you will need to put in a lot of effort in order to get legitimate traffic whereby folks will click on your adsense links. You need to create content that draws in visitors where they will also share that content and keep at it.
