Why am I not ranking?

Hi,

I created a mns site a few weeks back, EMD, low competition keyword, site created with all the normal on page seo (keyword in title, H1 tag, keyword in body of text but not overdone etc) and I have created a few back links to it, some with the keyword as the anchor text and some different anchor text yet I'm still not even in the top 50.

I've just been looking at the top 10 in Traffic Travis and some don't have any back links at all, don't have the keyword in the title but yet are in the top 10.

Any ideas what's going on?

    You haven't shared your web url ! You should share your web url but while I say that there may be little bit issue with your web site

    Hi danny ,

    You did not mentioned the time period you have started and done the work .

    Any website even though they are having less competition it will take some time to

    get index and come to the top. After it has been index in google, it will take some days to come to the top.

    Even though you have created some back links.

    Google will consider the quality of back links and when ever they have been indexed

    ( backlink pages ) Then your place will be changed in the search engine.

    So be patient when looking for any results.

    If you can give url , some of warriors can help you more above it.

    Good advice. Moreover. Have you diversified your links. If you make the same kind of links over and over again, they won't help you much.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply, I have shared the URL as the site is indexed and I can see it when I type in site:domainname.com but it is not ranking anywhere near where I would expect it to looking at the competition.

      Yeah Penguin change all the ways of doing SEO, but still if there are few way remains:-
      Keywords diversification
      Save yourself from spam links
      and obviously there is no need to say about the importance of content.

      If your site is still in to 50 you can also do blog commenting, its the better way and just chill & wait.
