How I Got A Fully Approved Adsense Account in Under 24 Hours (without any silly fiverr gigs... :P)
- SEO |
Decided to put this little guide together on how I managed to get my Adsense account from Google in less than a day. I see people asking around on how to get an account, and even the WSO I was following sort of worried me when it said that it takes a few weeks to get an Adsense account. I didn't want to wait a month so I began to search around for some information, and found a handy page on Squidoo which helped me out loads.
I've lost the link for the lens which I used or else I would've just linked to that, but seeing as I don't have the link, here is what I did.
- Found a commercial keyword around which to build my page around. I wanted to write about something that I knew a fair bit about, but also I wanted to make the page have some commercial value so that ads would show. So I picked eczema as my topic, as I am a long time sufferer.
- Opened an account with Blogger. This was probably the main reason I got approved so quickly. In the past, I had bought a fresh domain and tried applying with that, but had heard nothing back for a while. Eventually it just got rejected. Now I know it was because of the keyword (it had no commercial viability i.e it didn't have any advertisers), but had I used blogger in the first place (it is owned by Google so obviously they'll give first priority to it?) I would've probably heard back from them a lot sooner than 5 weeks.
- Wrote 7 articles, consisting of 500 words each, and added pictures and Youtube videos to each page. This was all unique content, straight from me, as I mentioned above I already had pretty huge amounts of knowledge when it came to eczema.
- Published one article, and added the rest in a queue to drip once/twice a week. The strange thing is, when I was approved there was only one article up on the blogger. So I'm assuming that Google could see that there were more articles due to be posted. Otherwise I'm pretty sure that a one-page would just be rejected (correct me if I'm wrong - newbie here )
- Added an RSS feed for easy navigation. Please no one ask me how to add an RSS feed to blogger :p. I swear to God it took me around an hour just to find this, because every page I came across (bar the one that actually helped) just had confusing and wrong information.
- Pick any old theme apart from the default one. Something snazzy-ish will do, just choose an option from the blogger dashboard.
- Apply to Adsense through the 'earnings' tab on your dashboard. Once you've done all this and scheduled 5-7 articles and posted one, then simply apply through blogger.
Hope this helped somebody . I am a complete newbie and I am still on my first few sites, so for anyone who is slightly behind and wondering how to get an account, I'm pretty sure the above steps will help you out loads. Thanks for reading!
