Clearly, you "know" SEO a little bit. Otherwise, you wouldn't be placing links on your sig.

    Anyways, here it is,

I read that guide like so many times and I would give it a 6/10.

It is 'informative' giving you extremely general information about SEO. It doesn't tell you how to actually do it though which most newbies are looking for.

If they tell you how to actually do it, step-by-step, then they wouldn't have a business running. Read their blog posts. Some of them are gold, in my opinion.

EDIT: I see that you have SEOMOZ premium account. I'm sure you know how valuable some of their posts are, if you put it into action. cheers.

The best way to learn how to actually do SEO is to test all the theories you can find out there. Learning what works and what doesn't on your own is a great experience. That is how you become a good SEO!

SEOmoz is my favorite, it's very user-friendly and easy to understand. Beyond that, check Warrior Forum and a few other SEO information sites on a regular basis. SEO changes every day.

The problem is that SEO is so dynamic, it always changes so drastically with every update, that it is very difficult to pinpoint within a guide. If you write a guide in 2012, it may be correct as of now, but who knows whether it will stand the test of time in 2013, 2014 and onwards.
