by cdispoto 21 replies
Building a plan to optimize a website for a new client, but there are so many options. Anyone have any opinions or recommendations on the following:

Wordtracker
iBusinessPromote
All-in-One SEO Pro
Scribe SEO
Web CEO

Fell free to suggest any I did not list. Any help would be appreciated.

I am suggesting you to do manual SEO. Build link manually. If you use any SEO software than your client's site will loose ranking at every penguin and panda update.

Use manually and high quality backlinking techniques. These automated tools will ruined your current ranks.

Let me be clear, nothing I listed is "automated".

It's mainly plugin or programs for tools that allow you to perform SEO and keyword research and analysis for your existing site. They are not "click one button to optimize the site" type programs.

Totally agree. Some people here are like parrots. Paid tools are MUST, the thing is you should learn how to use them.

        I vote for SEOmoz.

Never used or heard about any of the tool of software before.

Running all the SEO activities manually, from a while. And i think its better to use it manually.

    I vote for Zennoposter.

Nothing is even to close to it for high quality manual backlinks with ability to repeat them for every other site after you made it for 1st one )

The best SEO tool is MAN because their a limit to what a software can do. And it's not just having the tool that is the issue but how you use. Don't just use them the way everyone uses them.

I use SEO Powersuite to track rankings and to check competitors' backlinks. Also, if you need it for a client's site, Powersuite creates kick-ass reports.

I recommend you manual SEO. It has long lasting results, but if you use any software then there are chances to get penalize if any algorithm caught.

I prefer the "Wordpress SEO" plugin over All-in-One-Seo. I really like the search engine result preview it gives. It also checks to see if you have followed some basic SEO rules in your post. Wordpress SEO is free.

I tried iBusinessPromoter. Its web page audit software is pretty detailed. You can have a report created for you on fiverr.com. The directory submission software was ok. I don't know how useful it was. Note that if you decide to buy IBP, there's a monthly charge after a few months.

I haven't tried Web CEO but I did see that it's $499 desktop version also includes a monthly charge.

SEO Power Suite's Rank Tracker is really good. It's one of the few apps I'm still considering to buy. It also had a monthly charge after a few months.

Google webmaster tools is enough if your website having the enough quality and relevant content. I am not very sure about third party SEO tools which are used to optimize the website, i only know the tools which are used to analyze the SEO performance of our website (for that I've used seomoz software).

The Wordpress SEO plugin will help optimize quality relevant content for better SEO. There's really no good reason not to use Wordpress SEO (or All-In-One-SEO) if you are using Wordpress.
